Now they're saying the inning is over...no one knows what the fuck is going on.Hidden ball trick on Cano?
Based on what I've seen this series, Zunino has looked vulnerable to the high heat, even though his bat is scorching in June.

No kidding. I get up at 4:30 and I'm dragging even just watching a few innings. I also find myself waking up at 1:00 or 2:00 to check the score.I'm up at 4 for work so watching 1 inning is a stretch for me. At least we'll be back home next week, and I may be able to catch the last few innings of tomorrows game.
Reddick off the DL, Fisher on the next flight to Fresno.Hell of a job by Fisher in the 5 games he played. Hate to see him go back down but it had to happen.
Delayed BBG retributionFuck, that's all on Kalas

Kelly has some narsty stuff. That one slider to Bregman had some serious movement on it.

Did that ball ever land?Still in orbit
Correa with a night to forget....I was about to say something similar
Is there some kind of bad blood between Correa and Moosetacos? Why do you ask?
I'm waiting for the inevitable Yuli troll-doll bobblehead.Marwin needs one first.
"Look at Odor. Just looking" Look at Odor wear the golden sombrero.Yeah I'm sure sure Giles is just flat out scared of that little gnat staring him down. God that commentary was awful.
One out walk to Andrus...tying run at the plate...Nitowski is so excited! No shit. This guy is awful. Did he really just say Banister is so calm win or lose? Jesus Christ.
Rangers playing about as well as they can. And they're still going to lose.Wow. Pump the brakes.
Fuck me, score mobile sent out a score alert that Gallo homered. I was in full rage mode until I saw the fly out 3 seconds later.Delete that shit ASAP
Harris is a badass. He walked off the field like he is too.
B6:These Fox broadcasts are much better on mute.
Gallo grounds out 3U
Rua...3-2...singles to LF
Hoying grounds to 2B again, but this time Correa catches the throw at 2B...no play at 1B...Rua out 4-6
Hoying steals 2B...Nitowski orgasms in the booth
Choo...full count...strikes out looking
5-4 Astros
This umpire loves him some yuHe probably loves cream of some YUng guy too.

I hadn't tuned in at that point. But when Preston Wilson said "Infielders aren't used to having their back to the infield." I was done. They're awful. It's much better on mute, trust me.
Uh, almost any popup to shallow center both the SS and the 2nd baseman are running with their backs to the infield. What are you talking about, you goon?
This broadcast is fucking insufferable. Good God.I knew it was really bad when one of those knuckleheads said "ground ball to Altuve, no Correa. Pardon me that was Schoop."
That Machado fella can hit too. I bet his BBQ is shit though.Watching him take BP yesterday was pretty crazy, he was going train tracks in left center quite a bit. Took quite a few to the top of the fake ivy too.
What was the exit bicycle?110 mph
Nope, still pitching for the astros. Cabrera lines a single to left and the tigers have runners on 1st and 2nd with no outs.Damn it, Bobby

Springer's face when he runs just looks like he's whispering "ohfuckohfuckohfuckohfuck" to himself the whole time. This is true, looks like he's running for his life as he turns a bag.
Yes.Did you see what Hinch said when asked about how long he may be sidelined? That's what made me think this.
Not feeling well.Interesting that he's sick and not starting but available off of the bench. Am I crazy to think Hinch may be sending a message by benching him after not running out that play on the ground ball he hit last night?
There have certainly been worse seasons in recent memory.Yeah for sure. I may be in the minority here but I don't even think they're playing their best ball yet either.
Altuve was wandering around the dugout to tell everyone about his HR.He does what he wants.
No worries. I think my sarc-meter was actually set too high. The last Lagunitas likely fixed that. I'll be curious who pitches the 9th. For whatever reason this still feels like a save situation to me....I want to say something but I'll hold out for a while.
This game is far from over.Exactly my point, Hinch has used him in situations like these though. Even closer games in fact.
An Airstream. It's gotta be heavier than that.
Yuli with a sac fly as Gattis drags a bass boat home on a fly ball to the track! If Gattis drags a bass boat what does McCann drag?
Cortana just prompted me that the Astros won before MLB.TV told me that.First world problems
Giles is making me nervous.I really hate the fact that he makes everyone nervous just about every time he pitches. It gets really old.
CORREA!She gone! Correa is heating up and it's quite nice to see.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Move Correa out of the cleanup spot.Oops, he's thinking otherwise.
Why the FUCK is Eric Gordon taking a shot in the last minute of OT?Probably because we can't even give the ball to our best player without him turning it over. Who else do you want to shoot it???
No Kawhi or Parker but the Spurs just keep on coming. That Popovich knows what the hell he's doing, that's for sure.
Good game for Sipp and Gregerson to get some work. That's not funny.
Correa is looking good, man!Maybe he shouldn't be sent to AAA huh?
Colon may have reached his limit. It could be a swollen Colon.
Good inning for Fiers. Now that Hoyt is warming up..
Maldonado drives a single into RF to score Maybin from 3B with 2 outs and 2 strikes. Our offense better wake up with this fucking shlub we have on the hill.

The umpire wasn't helpful. That last pitch was a few inches outside for sure.
Spurs up by 13.I think that series will go to 7 for sure, thoughts?
And you guys were worriedJust how you drew it up?

Make that 10...God damn he sucks
The Ric Flair thing is going to get real old, real fast.It already is
He was pointing at the ground he was standing on screaming, I'm right here, motherfucker! That was great
And Correa punches out looking. Nice. But what we're you expecting? A double play?
Why the fuck would Sipp be an option in any game that's within 5 runs?No shit
Man Correa doesn't have a clue right now.His hair color may have something to do with his struggles.
Beautiful hitting by Yuli. He drove that low and away pitch off the right center wallI thought it was gone off the bat.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm sure the rules in Cuba are the same as here.Probably so..
Correa is fucking killing this team in the cleanup spot. All I can think about right now is that bases loaded opportunity.
First pitch from Feliz is wild, takes the double play off the table. And comes back to strike him out, interesting.
That pitch hit the grass, 15 feet in front of the plate.
That was a damned fine time for Correa to break the slumpNo shit huh
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Man, Morrison never stops whining. What is he bitching about?
Marisnick is about to get some time to show of that improved hitting stroke.Yeah and he just fucked the dog on that route.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Fuck, he's going to be gone for eight weeks.I sure as hell hope not, fuck.
McCann needs to unhook that bass boat he's haulingGood stuff
Doolittle trimmed his beard. He trimmed a little off on that pitch too.
Man, this Oakland defense is really shaky. So is the ump. What the hell on that 3-0 to Correa.
Just getting a head start on their day off.Maybe a nice bender will get their head out of their ass.
Without Springer and Marwin this team would be fuckedIf everyone else would just strike out instead of hit into a double play we'd be in better shape.
Encarnacion and Bautista are feeling the QO sting pretty hard.I doubt they will miss any meals though.
And apparently giving up the farm to do it.At least the Astros still have Bregman and the Rangers don't have Sale.
Buster Olney reports on Twitter Astros have agreed to terms with the Mole. Guess no Encarnacion.Dang it, was hoping they would land Encarnacion.
ETA: 1 year, 16mm, full no-trade

For whatever it's worth, UT's pitching coach said Jason Castro was the best college hitter they faced. They haven't faced much then...
I got to the Jacksonville Jaguars at 32 and quit reading.
You missed the Texans at 39.Geez whoever did that list is doing some Chinese algebra.
I would take it as the main course, I hate the fuckin' sox the way all of y'all hate the rangers.Ex Yankees fan?
And, yet, it's not hard to believe that they'll find some way to fuck this up.I highly doubt that, they look like the real deal.
Innes represents everything wrong with sports radio. I have no use for him. Charlie has forgotten more than Innes will ever know. Charlie was arrogant, but he was on point. Innes is basically a 5-year old with a microphone. How in the hell has that guy even got a job at a radio station? Do people even listen to him? It's like he just wants people to not like him.
...on a throwing error by Odor. Nice.Sweet, I hate that little piss ant!
We don't have that much bandwidth.Well played.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
He was getting killed in the ratings actually discussing sports. "Sports radio" these days is really "guy talk radio" for the 20-45 male demographic. Of the 15-20 hours per week those afternoon idiots at 610 are on the air, they spend about an hour talking about sports and the rest of the time discussing gambling, the women they've had sex with, and making fun of old people and disabled kids. They play to the steroid and vomit, barbed-wire tattoo crowd whose attention span is that of cocker spaniel. I guess 790 wanted more of that. They got it in Josh Innes.Yeah you're right, Charlie was all sports. That's the only reason why I listen to a sports radio station. It sucks that sports radio has come to what these guys talk about all day. I don't understand how people could listen to those three on The Triple Threat or whatever it's called, they're so stupid.
Ugh. Innes is the worst of the worst. So much for listening to 790 in the afternoons. No kidding! I wonder what happened with Charlie.
And agree about Palillo. He's a pompous, condescending ass, but he does seem to not despise the game of baseball, which is rare for Houston radio guys.Apparently Pallilo is gone from 790, this is madness. The rest of them suck around these parts.
My youngest son would always say that when he staggered in, three sheets to the wind. Now that's funny right there
A.J. Reed has the slowest fucking bat I've ever seen. At any level. How has he ever hit anybody? He needs to lose some weight in the offseason.
I can't not listen to Johnny Cash. And drink wine.Four bottles worth? Man oh man!
Do you consider Trumbo an OF, because I don't. If you could open Crane's wallet for an OF, who would you get?Me either on Trumbo, I was just listing a few FAs. Of everyone that will be a FA, it would probably come down to Reddick or Cespedes. A lefty would be ideal though with our right heavy lineup.
pitching way, way more important than a bat.Definitely, I agree. But while there are a few OF bats that are going to be FA, it would be silly not to try to get one. Don't you think?
Exactly. Signing someone for the sake of spending money is senseless.I don't think it's signing someone just to spend money. We could use another OF bat, and obviously some pitching. I think our lineup is good but one more good hitter makes it that much better.
And just what FAs should he splash that cash on?Yeah it's not great, especially for pitching. But here are a few names as far as non pitchers. Cespedes, Encarnacion, Trumbo, Bautista, Fowler. Aroldis Chapman is also a FA, but I'm sure they are still holding their breath on Giles..
(Spoiler alert: this free agent class SUCKS.)

I'll never understand why Marisnick gets so much shit... the dude can play CF.He's so good in CF. And his offense is much better when he plays consistently ( who could have guessed), I think he's fine starting in CF next year. No team has 9 offensive studs..
You know what? I'm fine with just walking Cano if he comes up again.I was at the game last night and when he came up in the 11th some Mariners fans behind me were awestruck that we didn't intentionally walk him. Not really good baseball to put the winning run on but he screwed us anyway.
Thinking about going to the game tomorrow. Anyone interested?I'll be there, with about six thousand other people probably..
Next time don't leave the TV.Haha
Oh ,okay, now I get it. Hahahahahaha. Good one.Haha, I'm not sure if you are being serious.
He makes $24MM a year for the next 6 or 7 years.Yeah I know, it was a joke.
I like Bregman at third and wouldn't mind seeing Gurriel at first (that creates an outstanding infield range-wise. Especially if they keep shifting everyone out of position every at bat). This makes Marwin the super uber-spiers sub he is. That leaves only LF. Cespedes...? Trade anyone else not needed for Sale and resign Castro. Along with Gattis catcher is set. Plenty of people to cycle through the DH spot while Marwin gets regular at bats. I'll miss Valbuena though. He was very solid defensively and carried this team back in to contention this summer.Edwin Encarnacion at DH would be okay with me. I'm going to miss Valbuena too. He was having a great year until the injury, I hope he does well wherever he lands in the offseason.
He's gotten a bit of help from Springer. For sure.
When it comes to hitting into a double play, Gurriel is a machine.Only three today.
B4:Was that a wide home plate on Jakes at bat on the third strike call or was it just me?
White grounds out 5-3
Castro grounds to 3B...Escobar lollygags it...Castro rules safe, but Angels challenging, clearly out, so it'll be ruled a 5-3
Marisnick strikes out looking
2-1 Astros
It was horrible...one of the worst calls you'll ever see at this level. That doesn't mean Gattis can take the next two meatballs with the bases loaded.Yeah no kidding, gotta swing in that situation.
B1:That first strike call was something else.
Springer reaches on an E4
Gurriel strikes out swinging
Altuve with a soft liner to LF, and Buss whiffs at it, Springer to 3B, Altuve to 2B on a 2-base E7
Correa intentionally walked
Gattis takes strike one 3 feet off the plate...takes strike two right down the middle...takes strike three right down the middle
Marwin hammers one in the hole, robbed by the secondbaseman...score it 4-3
Astros leave the bases juiced...no score
No kidding...it's not *your* fault. You didn't throw that bullshit slider. What do you think Giles is drinking?
And by unbelievable you mean completely believable.Yes, like almost saw it coming believable.
Not much of a pitcher.This
Running Fiers out there is criminal negligence.Fister has been worse. Hope he has a short leash tomorrow night.

Caught stealing ends the game.Castro with a fuck you to the umpire?
Astros win!!
Meanwhile Bautista hits a game tying home run.Was there a bat flip involved?
Gregerson getting royally fucked by the ump in the 9th...struck out Pinder three fucking times that at bat, instead the tying run comes to the plate with two out.Seriously? I'm on the radio feed.
Gregorson in for the ninth. Wonder what's up with Giles. He pitched last night and the night before. And he threw a lot of pitches last night.
Gattis lumberjacking todayToday? He's been killing it for a good while now.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
For all his talent, Springer is frustrating as fuck to watch hit sometimes.Last 99 at bats, 44 strikeouts. I wonder how many on three pitches.
Tony Kemp comes in as a pinch hitter and ends up the player of the game. Game tying RBI double, then a lead off double and scored the winning run in the 10th.That was a nice swing! I was thinking he had a three bagger off the bat.
I don't want it outlawed, I just want the Astros to stop using it on every fucking two-bit Punch and Judy hitter out there.I thought it was interesting in that Cubs series they showed the stats on the shift and it said the Cubs use it the least in the MLB and the Astros use it the most by a huge number.

Hate to be a killjoy but Fangraphs has their odds at about 6% as of this morning. Sounds pretty reasonable. All the way up to 20% as of right now.
Gattis smoked a solo shot over the high Wall in left center. That kid gave him an absolute cookie right down the middle.

You can start it Potsie. Thanks for your input.
Yeah, there are all sorts of better baseball talk out there than either 610 or 790. I like to listen to local radio because it's ostensibly Houston focused. That doesn't mean they're good at it, however.Yeah I definitely agree with you on that. I listen to 790 just for Astros talk.
I used to listen to 610 in the morning when they had Nick Wright. He was one obnoxious prick, but damn if that guy didn't know sports. John Lopez is, and will always be, a sports moron. Without Wright, they have no legitimate sports knowledge. I listen to the Matt and Lance, the "Proper Gentleman" now. Neither are as smart or informed as Wright, but they've apparently watched a baseball/football/basketball/soccer/tiddlywinks what have you game before. So they're miles ahead of the idiots left on 610.Yeah I used to listen to Nick and Lopez too. Didn't Nick go to New York or something like that?
Hey rook, get in the right thread.Didn't have one there for a while, skip.
Someone should dig up his OBP, or better yet, his WAR.OBP .324
We haven't won a series in weeks.Scratch that thought.
Will Hinch give McHugh the chance at the CGSO?Negative ghost rider
Saying someone who has made an MLB roster even for one day "sucks" is flat wrong.Okay let me rephrase that. I don't believe he is a big league caliber player.
I had literally forgotten all about him.Why wouldn't you? He sucks..
Colin Moran has been called up.Not a good sign.
He's got a good one, but you're a huge homer.I'm glad you are honest. Who has the best?
What a valuable player to have.I've always liked that guy. Must be really nice for a manager to have him too.
This is my point. No one was willing to go there at the deadline. Why would anyone go there in the off-season?Yeah I hear you. The fact of the matter is though, we need an ace pretty badly. I hope Lunhow makes some good moves in the offseason.
Who and at what cost? I am seriously doubting whether a difference maker in a rotation is going to be traded.Sale or Archer. But if they start listening on either of them they are going to want Bregman at least probably. So then Lunhow will be back to the dilemma he had at the deadline.
Improved starting pitching will do wonders for the chemistry.Free angency this year is crapola as far as pitching goes. A trade seems like the only way to get some good starting pitching.
At least they sent the fans home happy.Oh man
Oh for Christ's sake, Colby.I'm by the bullpen tonight, that was rediculous. His first step took a solid 10 minutes if felt like.
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
That's typically the way it is. The Astros gave up the state of Texas five years ago.It sucks.
Watching on TV. Cubs fans all weekend, lots of empty seats for rival game in playoff chase. Must be football season in Texas.Probably more Rangers fans than Astros fans here if I had to guess.
Captain Correa almost injured himself swinging at a pitch he couldn't have hit with a broom. No kidding, was that ugly or what?
I guess most people are watching the Cubs game.Cards broke it up. Haha
I am SO FUCKING TIRED of caught stealings. Those don't bother me as much as Springer doing his best Gomez impression does. Going to one knee while swinging is rediculous.
T4:Hey at least they got Gomez out right?
Manzara grounds to SS, Correa throws it in the dirt...Gurriel doesn't help him...TE6
Andrus grounds into 5-4-3 double play
Gomez strikes out swinging
3-1 Rangers
Astros sign 20-year old LHP Cionel PerezComparisons to Hamels when he was at this stage, interesting.
He is classified as an int'l amateur, mean ing their $5.15M signing bonus will have a 100% tax, thus continuing to prove that Crane is a cheapskate 'neck.
Fuck the cubs.This.
Wtf is up with these mid inning cartoon sketches ESPN is putting up? Is this a normal thing or a terrible idea they saved for tonight?Normal deal.
I'm so glad I'm not actually at this game. I think I'd likely spend the night in jail. I've already been banished to the basement by my wife. Evidently my language directed at the cubs is inappropriate for a 9 year old.Haha
I don't think we need to see Fiers in an Astros uniform next year. Thanks Ash.
I am sick and fucking tired of Springer's terrible throws the last few games. The hell is he doing? He just lobs it in every time.
Wtf. Is Jose hurt now also?Hinch says he has a stomach bug, threw up before and during he game.
Tagging the foot like that is just bad luck. The bandwagon is big this year.
FTC and their turd fans stinking up the joint. Six more outs.
Why start Colby tonight against the lefty when the Cubs are running out two portsiders to start the next two?Portsiders are leftys but yeah...
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Altuve is like a distant radio station right now. Sometimes full bore, sometimes not sure at all what the hell is going on.I hope he finds his way out of this slump soon.
The other side of it is that if he's ruled it a wild pitch why do you call time when runners are running the bases? He fucked that up too. That's what I was getting at in post 32.
I don't know how Hinch didn't just absolutely lose his shit on Joyce. There's gotta be a repercussion for that call on the crew right? That's rediculous.
I would've made it all the way around the bases to let each of those fat pieces of shit know how fucking miserable they were.
Gurriel just tied the game in a world where Jim Joyce isn't a fucking idiot. This is stupid, I'm having a hard time watching this crap show after that screw up.
Everything about this call is fucking embarassing on this entire crew's account. How the FUCK can 4 guys miss that ball being fouled off? AND HOW THE FUCK IS THIS NOT REVIEWABLE?!No kidding, and AJ is gone now.
Paulino is wearing Castro out back there. Can't land the breaking ball at all.
"A win today would go a long ways toward making sure the team is not losing ground."Hope he's gone next year.
Alan Ashby, ladies and gentlemen.
Damn. What shit call for strike two.How bad was it? I was on the feed, everyone is talking about it on Twitter. Need a replay.
Great way to start the series! Go get 'em tomorrow!Peacock vs Kluber.
thanks ashAnytime
Now I have to wonder if he's been trying to pitch through this all year. That certainly would explain the lackluster results.Exactly what I was thinking. It makes sense.
Fiers is trying hard to get Cleveland to score.Glad he barely got out of it though.
That little fucker sure is good. Looks like I'll be hating him for many years to come.Dude has some serious thump. Can't stand him.
Perfect. Not a ball hit at him.Ha! Thanks. That probably guarantees him 3B again tomorrow or no?
Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
The real one.Good answer hahahaha.
Wishful thinking. He came off badly, and was easily out.Oh ok, only saw it once my bad. Thanks.
Springer lead off single, moves up on wild pitch, then gets thrown out tagging up to end the inning. Just asinine. He came off the bag but it looked like it was after the tag.
Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I think they will address 1st, either Reed wins it, Gurriel moves there or a FA is added.Encarnacion at 1st or even DH starting next year would be awesome.
I heard that surgery is likely the outcome from this setback. He is likely done for the season.Hinch confirmed this today, not cool.
I'm already tired of Hernandez's lollygagging shit in the outfieldAt least he seems to be able to hit right?
So no word from either tv or radio on the Gurriel pinch hit?McTag said on Twitter he will ask.
T8:Hinch has to be just about over these umps after Altuves double and now that.
Bridwell...making his big league debut...in for the O's
Gattis strikes out swinging
Kemp...pinch hitting for Gurriel...lines out to CF
Marisnick homers to LF
Marwin bunts...catcher fields it, throws to 1B, and Marwin is called out for interference as the throw hits him in the back, even though he was right on top of the bag. Terrible call.
5-2 Astros
Kemp pinch hitting for Gurriel...why, no one seems to know. That's a strange one.
Apparently not getting back on the 25 anytime soon...Wow that's bad news.
Angel Verdejo Jr. @ahverdejo 26 minutes ago Baltimore, MD
Luis Valbuena (right hamstring) suffered a setback running & sent back to Houston to be evaluated. Hinch called it a major concern.
Devenski's good where he is. He struggles the third time through the lineup.Fiers has been struggling the first time through the lineup. Hopefully he proves me wrong tonight.
I'm on radio... WTF happened to Altuve??Gattis threw to him while warming up and he missed it and it hit him around the shoulder I believe.

Haven't checked in for awhile. Have I missed anything? Have they caught the Rangers yet? That's funny.
St. Louis being a (self proclaimed) "big baseball city" has very little to do with the organization having a broad national following.Ok!
