I"m here, except that I'm about to step away for a few minutes to eat some dinner. Dinner would taste better if Correa did something helpful here.

The umpire wasn't helpful.

Screw jobs equaled out on that out call at 2nd. I really don't like that every steal call is subject to NSA-level scrutiny, even though we were the beneficiaries this time.

This must be how Cincy fans felt when Berkman came to town. I can't describe how tired I am of Pujols.

Just fucking drill him every time. Unless the guy behind him hits a homer, he's a liability on the basepaths.

This game has all the smackings of Keuchel's first loss of the year so far.

JJ watt hitting one off the community leaderboard in BP impresses me more than his box jumps; J. Reddick inspired to go yard shortly thereafter.

I'll take credit for the McBomb.

I decided to take a drive to drop off my rent and see if I could turn the Astros luck around.

If they would take the open shot even if that shot happened to be midrange they'd be alright. Defense was a problem but dribbling past open shots into contested shots is a bigger one to me.

I reckon the absolute refusal to play any form of D is the start of the problem, they need to shoot the lights out every night and some times they don't.. They just cant make up for a poor shooting night by amping up the D like a lot of teams can.

In my defense I said that before the inning started (I think I'm way behind you guys). As in "no need to warm anyone up now". If this goes fubar though I'll claim full responsibility.

Thanks for getting the save Giles.

Easy. Giles made some great pitches. The Angels haven't exactly been killing the ball.

On to the 10th.

Thanks for getting the save Giles.

Point taken, but he had some shitty luck.  Weak chopper to third that couldn't force the out at home, a hard hit ball off Marwin's glove, etc.

Definitely not on Keuchel for loading the bases with nobody out and 3-4-5 coming up.

Definitely not on Keuchel for loading the bases with nobody out and 3-4-5 coming up.

He didn't walk anyone and no one hit him hard. I would have thought seriously about keeping him in had he not left maybe two of those last ten or so pitches up.

Anyway, the point is, if you're supposed to be an elite closer you should be able to come into a situation like that and get out of it before you give up four runs.

You can say the same for Giles.

Trout hit a bullshit Texas Leaguer. Two balls that didn't get out of the infield.

If you're forgiving Keuchel, Giles should be right there too.

And Giles punched out Fuckstick Pujols too.

Giles is meant to pitch one inning, not nine. He has a 100 mph fastball, not an 89 mph fastball. He has what supposedly is an unhittable slider, not a ground ball slider. His job is to stroll out and use his two pitches to get people out without a lot of fucking around. From what I've seen over two years he isn't all that great at it. Tonight was another example.

I have no idea how this half inning will play out of course but if I would trust Devo's mentality in a tight situation over Giles' any day.
