Astros take the rubber game 5-1
For the second game, Astros pitching held down the hard hitting Marlins. Wandy had a biting curve and got 7 Ks, typically off the Marlins swinging at the curve in the dirt. His last K in the 7th was on 3 pitches. JR set up the sequence to the pinch hitter Andino, fastball outside corner, dropped the curve over and then the high fastball got him swinging. The only run the Marlins scored was in the 4th when the hard hitting Willingham knocked a fastball over the tracks.

AP Report
At the beginning of the televised broadcast of the Florida Marlin/Houston Astros game, there was a very picturesque shot of Minute Maid Park in all it’s splendor basked in the sunlight of what can only be termed a beautiful day in Houston, Texas. Of course, this was to be technically a night game between the two clubs, but let’s not quibble. The opening shot gave rise to a tagline in the broadcast graphics that read “Chamber of Commerce Day”, meaning if the Houston CC ever needed a day to point out the wonderful weather in Houston, this would be it. Of course, knowing Houston baseball fans as I do, this was the one or two days of the season that the roof is opened and no one complains about being too hot or too cold or too whatever! “I felt pretty good today, that’s the bad part,” Oswalt said. “I wouldn’t say it was location. I looked at two of the home runs, and [the pitches were] exactly where I wanted to throw them.”
Asked if he is overanalyzing on the mound, Oswalt said: “I’m too dumb to overanalyze.”
