Sorry, I suck. Just too much going on this morning to put together a proper recap, so I suggest you stroll through the GZ thread to get much more cogent analysis than I could provide even if I had all day to type.Read More

Editor’s Note: I’m throwing this together at the last second for posterity, because our man mihoba can’t make his appointed rounds, what with being passed out in a Portland microbrewery or some such. As such, I do not expect this to be read, nor do I expect my account of last night’s events to be in any way accurate. If I got the final score correct and one or two of the links work, then I’ve done my job. -JARead More

The White-filled pile of unlucky dog doo has slammed into something and I think it might be Bronson Arroyo! Woody pitched well and the bats woke up to help the boys avoid tying a team record for consecutive losses by punking the Dickities 10-2. In regaining their mojo, for tonight at least, the team produced half of it’s entire offensive output over the 10-game losing streak.

The Other Side of the Coin:
Pissing excellence 10 times in a row. With bonus celebration.

This loss – the 10th in a row, if it hasn’t been mentioned yet – looked like it was going to get damn ugly, damn fast, but ultimately settled into a tight contest. Wandy got smacked around in the top of the first, with the Dickities going double, single, double, flyout, single to open the game. At that point, it was 3 runs to 1 out in the game, putting the cocksuckers on pace for a comfortable 81 runs on the evening.Read More

The good news. Jason Jennings returned from right elbow tendinitis to pitch five shutout innings in his first start since April 8th. Jennings struggled with his control early in the game, allowing a pair of walks and a base hit, but he was helped by a double play and escaped further damage, tossing 30 pitches in the first frame. He settled down nicely and was removed after reaching his pitch limit.Read More

And the suck just keeps getting louder. The shit snowball rolled into the desert and failed to melt as the boys stunk it up for their 5th loss in a row 9-1 to the D’Backs. This isn’t a Bagwell-style travelling horseshit show. Those guys underachieved. It’s scary to think that this may just be the limit to what this team is capable of. It sure looks that way.
