Giants at Astros – .500 or bust.

Tuesday, August 12, 7:05 p.m. CDT – FSN-HD
Wednesday, August 13, 7:05 p.m. CDT – FSN-HD
Thursday, August 14, 1:05 p.m. CDT – FSN-HD

Despite an up and down start the Astros are 14-8 since the All-Star break including sweeps of the New York Abortions and the Stinkcinasty Shitstains. Besides making the TZ and GZ happy places that also means the Astros are just 1, count ’em, 1 game under .500. There is of course one problem. Yeah I know there’s more than one problem with this team but you know what I’m going to say. Lee is gone thanks to the Goulanalsh’s. There’s been talk of Wiggy playing some left as well as Erstad being the everyday guy there so you know the defensive effort will be set to maximum. Berkman and Miggy have to step up big now. So now in come the Giants. They have won 2 of 3 in their three series this month including most recently 2 of 3 from the Manny’s.

The Good & Bad Report: DSL Astros

Posted on August 11, 2008 by Duman in From the Bus Stop

The DSL Astros are bad. There is not much else to say. Their record is 17-42. It is the second worst record in the 37 team DSL. There are six organizations in the league that have two teams with better records than the D-Stros. Only the split squad of the Diamondbacks/Reds have a worse record.

Weekend Update

Posted on August 11, 2008 by Duman in From the Bus Stop

Well it was a weekend to remember in Round Rock. The Express took two of three from the I-Cubs but it was the loss on Saturday night that was most memorable. Friday, the Express rode Nick Gorneault’s grand slam to a 7-4 win. Sunday, they rode Ron Chiavacci’s solid start to a 4-1 win. But Saturday night was the big deal. The I-Cubs hit 8 home runs, 4 by the same player. That player also started a triple play that on replays appears to have been the result of a bad call. It was the second triple play the Express have hit into in less than 3 weeks.Read More
