Is Colby that much better of a defender than George?   Or does Colby not have enough arm to play right field?

Three longballs for J.D. Martinez today in the Bronx (game being televised on MLB Network)--still has at least one more AB.

Velasquez's fastball just doesn't seem to have much movement. It's going to take him 40 pitches to get out of the first inning.

43 to be exact. His heater is pretty straight. He needs to learn the cutter and the two seamer.

Or learn how to paint corners with that flat four seam. Can't throw it by guys anymore down the heart of the plate.

Are you worried that his K-rate may be too low for the Astros?

Don't often watch the pre or post game shows but when I have I've been impressed with Mike Stanton. He (like Steve Sparks) would be much more preferable to Ashby or Blum.

I like Blum; I think he has useful insights. Ashby needs to go.

Wasn't Stanton the guy who had Earl Weaver stuffing cigarettes in his face like chewing gum?

Among other things, the voice is hard to take.

I think you're remembering Don Stanhouse.

At first I did not like Blum, probably because he didn't have a broadcasters' voice, but I have come around on him.
