"excellent transportation infrastructure"Huh?I wonder where they're going to build this thing.
Regardless of hills and traffic etc., all I have to say is....Nnnnyyyyyyaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwww!
I'm generally okay with public funding of sporting facilities
So, uh, who's paying for the track? I'm generally okay with public funding of sporting facilities (because of the positive local economic impact), but this thing's going to cost a fortune. Texas Motor Speedway was $250MM to build...
So, uh, who's paying for the track?
but do you really see over 1000000 people crowding into austin for the affair. heck the guys on the tx might have to start wearing ascots
You may be overlooking the fact that more than half that number will be chicks exhibiting ungodly hotness.
You've been here long enough to understand there aint no chicks like Texas chicks.
While I would normally agree, there is something about F1 that really brings out the hot girls. I was at Interlago in Sao Paulo to watch the Brazilian F1 qualification runs and it was literally wall to wall with fine women. Increible!
There is some really nice land (hills, water, views) all along the 130 corredor. I'd guess on the south end of it near the airport
most of that land is blackland prarie. I'm having a hard time envisioning a really appealing lanscape out there
Privately funded according to todays Statesman. Wierdest thing about this is how out of the blue it came. They've been working on it for four years? I'm sure there was some heavy competition and a highly anticipated F1 announcement ceremony, but there wasn't a peep about it mentioned here in the paper or on local sports radio until the announcement came out yesterday. I'm hearing it's going to be located somewhere around the new airport. Also that it's not a 100% done deal just yet.
Not this again...
