Except for the exclusion of Matsui at the two hole, that is the lineup that perhaps Mills was hoping to start the season with. I'd personally swap Feliz and Pence but perhaps this will be a good way to get Pence some more challenge fastballs. Play ball!

Yeah, I think they got a little giddy after he looked so bad on the previous two. You can do that when you throw 95, but it's not so easy if you're around 88.

Baseball players are creatures of habit sometimes. Cantu strikes me as the kind of hitter who can hurt you if you feed him fastballs but can't do much of anything else well. If he forces you into a fastball count, you better be good at location at that point.

That was a huge hit by Jason, because Lindstrom has got to be a little pumped to be facing his former team. Sometimes that works horribly against you, so in a way it's good that Sampson is available if Matt is too pumped to pitch tonight. That three run lead may prove to be huge for him to just pitch.
