Roy assess Wigginton’s injury

Posted on September 7, 2008 by pravata in News You Can Use

“He did pretty much the same thing I did a long time ago,” said Roy “When you pull your groin, you can’t run. You can’t really do anything. Hopefully we’ll see how he looks after two weeks, but it’s going to be a little while.”

Who they’ll be counting on in the meantime,

“That takes a lot out of our offense there when you don’t have him in there, particularly against left-handed pitching,” Cooper said. “I thought Reggie [Abercrombie] swung the bat well tonight. [Mark Loretta] swung well. Hopefully, they’ll step up a little bit and continue to put some runs up.”  Link
