Felipe Paulino was examined in (cue scary music) Birmingham, Ala., on Wednesday by Dr. James Andrews, (fade out scary music) who confirmed the previous diagnosis of tendinitis in his shoulder.
Paulino will begin a 10-day rehab program after which he will start a throwing program with hopes of being able to pitch winter ball in Venezuela.
“I talked to (general manager) Ed (Wade) and we both agreed he needs to pitch somewhere,” assistant general manager Ricky Bennett said.
“We’re going to put together a program before he leaves Houston so he can pitch winter ball.”

What Wolf wants
“I want to play in October and see what that whole thing’s about. I’ve been here for a while and I’ve never experienced it.”
He’s no longer limiting himself to pitching close to home, “It doesn’t matter anymore,” Wolf said “… I’ve done it. It didn’t change my world.”
What about the Astros?
“I’d definitely consider them, yes,” Wolf said. “A lot of things can happen in the offseason. I’ve learned my two times being a free agent that there are a lot of teams that kind of throw their hat in to the ring, but it’s more like just the bill of their hat. They’re just testing the waters. You have to find out who’s really interested and who wants you in the organization, and see if you fit there.
“My sole concentration is to finish out the season strong and do whatever I can to help this team do what it’s going to do, and then just go into this offseason with an open mind.”
