Do not believe I have witnessed a game go that fast in Colorado. This game took 2 hours and 37 minutes.
Brian Moehler started out well but ran into a bit of trouble in the fourth, where he gave up 3 hits, 1 HBP, and 1 walk to give up 3 runs. He followed his bit of trouble up with a HR to Clint Barmes, which did not seem bad with the two outs that followed. But a walk, single, and another walk to load the bases made Cecil Cooper move to the bullpen to bring Fernando Nieve in to close the inning. Nieve proceded to walk Chris Iannetta to score the 5th run of the game before getting Troy Tulowitzki to ground out to end the inning.
The Astros scored 1 run in the 6th and 2 in the 7th, but they could not mustard any more against the Rockies bullpen. Apparently Manuel Corpas was missing Carlos Lee.
The Astros bullpen did a good job 3.1 innings without giving up a run on the night. Doug Brocail was outstanding.
Bench Tidbits:
Roy Oswalt will take on Jeff Francis Saturday at 7:05 pm CST. Let’s hope the Astros start a new 8+ game winning streak.
Hopefully the Lance Berkman we loved and cheered for earlier in the season comes back. He is missed.

Happy Birthday to my dad who is celebrating #69. I hope he enjoys the cakes I baked him.
