Felipe Paulino was diagnosed with bursitis in his throwing shoulder after being examined by team medical director David Lintner on Tuesday. …he will begin a throwing program on flat ground, and his timetable for a return to the mound will be determined by how quickly he progresses.
(Footer) The club hasn’t ruled out Paulino pitching in September, but winter ball appears to be a more realistic goal.
“We hope at some point in September we’d see him,” assistant GM Dave Gottfried said. “Or that plus in winter ball, in a controlled environment.”
