Why is the GM having this conversation? He should be working the phones instead of wasting time like this. All because a hack reporter can’t do his job correctly? There is no reason that story was in yesterday’s paper and there was no reason for Ortiz to bother Tejada for a reaction. There was no story. I found 2 reporters in Boston who refuted the “rumor” immediately. These are the only stories Ortiz knows how to write and when there isn’t one he’ll grab onto the flimsiest excuse to write one.
