Box Score

No fireworks by the Astros instead it is the “Same old, Same old”. The Astros got 2 runs on 6 hits. The Braves got 6 runs on 8 hits, grouping their hits together. Beating the Astros ended their losing streak of 5 games. Maybe the Braves will help the Astros end their 4 game losing streak.

The Astros used two pitchers in the game (Moehler and Wesley Wright), which is great since Roy Oswalt is scheduled to miss his Saturday start with a possibility of returning to the lineup on Tuesday.

Moehler did not do that bad of a job, he got hit a bit, but which Astros pitcher doesn’t. He got little run support which is becoming the usual for the potent Astros lineup.

Astros always seem to make firsts happen for the opposing team, whether it is their first homerun, first shuto ut or first major league hit (triple for Jason Perry).

Michael Bourn had the day off to try and regroup giving Darin Erstad a start in Center Field. Erstad playing is never a bad thing, plus he’s had a lot of starts against Tim Hudson in the American League.

The Braves have a pretty good pitching staff regardless of their injuries. At the start of the game they had the second best ERA in the National League.

Bench Tidbits:

Best of Luck to the Astros!!!
