“(Friday) was just a day where you know it looked like there was a tough lefty,” Cooper said. “He seemed to be a little frustrated by it. He had three strikeouts, so I think he needs a little break.” Link

Cooper recently met with his two catchers to let them know there are going to be times when he lifts them in the middle innings for pinch-hitters, when RBI opportunities come along.
“I had a conversation with my veteran guy [Brad Ausmus] and the kid [J.R. Towles] as well,” Cooper said. “I might pinch-hit in the sixth, seventh innings. That’s the only spot you really are going to do it.” Link

“I’m not worried,” he said. “I’m frustrated at times. … I feel like I let the team down. I’m just keeping a good attitude.”
Mechanics, “I’m trying to keep my head still at times, not moving too much. I’m trying to keep my weight on my back leg so I don’t shift my weight forward too early.” Link

“It’s frustrating to lose a game like that when you make one bad pitch and it kills you and the game’s over with,” Moehler said. “You’re going up against a guy like Sheets … I give them three runs right there in that inning. It’s getting kind of late in the game and that’s frustrating. Link

“I just think you’ve got to come out with the same consistent approach. As long as you’re consistent over the course of the season, the record, the numbers are going to be what they’re supposed to be.” Link

On being thrown out 3 times stealing “That’s the way we play,” Cooper said. “We have to be aggressive, we have to play that way. We’re not scoring runs, so we’ve got to do what we do. We’ve done that all year, so that’s nothing new. I encourage them to keep running.” Link
