Paul Lo Duca re-injured his hand on a swing in the 7th. As he walked down the dugout steps, Lo Duca began jawing and pointing at some fans in the front row, at one point pausing to make another point.
“The guy was being obnoxious the whole night,” he said. “I just kept my mouth shut and didn’t say anything. Then I’m coming off the field, and he told me I was a [wimp]. So I said, “If I’m a [wimp], come outside and wait for me.’ He turned red as a freaking ketchup bottle.”

Soon, park security and a police officer came and escorted the two men from their seats. Fans chanted “Let them stay! Let them stay!” as they were being led out. Many of the Nationals came out of the dugout to watch the scene.

“I need to stay back a little bit more on my back leg and drive toward home plate and not overstride, which is causing my arm to get in a low slot,” Sampson said. “I need to shorten it up a bit and get back to my sinker, get in command.”
