Reset. Bourn advises calm and apparently there is crying in baseball.

Lee said of gaining the .500 mark. “It means we get to start over again” Link

Bourn played the 9th Friday, probably in the lineup Sat. but he’s trying not to get too excited,

“I want myself not to be anxious, because when I’m anxious I’m over-anxious, too hyper…”

“I guess baseball isn’t the sport to be too hyper. It’s not like football where you want all your energy going. It’s almost like Ray Lewis is always going. Baseball you have to pace yourself a little bit.”

Tearing up
Troy Glaus left Friday nights’ game just before the 3rd inning. In the bottom of the 2nd he struck out with the bases loaded.

The Cardinals said Glaus left because a watery eye made it difficult for him to see.

“His eye’s are watering at night,” La Russa said. “Only here. Something about the dampness and cold.”

La Russa said the watery eyes only bother Glaus at the plate, and that he hasn’t had the trouble anywhere but the plate. At night. At Busch. Link
