Lance Berkman has a trick ankle.
Not sure if it juggles or whether it does ventriloquism or can quickly count a pile of spilled toothpicks. But in the Thursday mound celebration with the now longer unacceptably demonstrative Jose Valverde,
“It’s a little embarrassing,” Berkman said. “But coming off the mound, giving high-fives, I stepped on the side of the mound and rolled it.”
Asked if the ankle issue would be a lingering problem, Berkman reportedly answered, “Are you kidding me? I’m number one super guy.”

Reminded that he already has 4 stolen bases on the season, will the trick ankle slow you down? Allegedly Berkman said “No, I’m quicker than the human eye.”
