Tri Cities:
For the last few games of the season, Tri Cities added a few Greeneville players: Fernando Abad, David Denilli, and Reinaldo Pestana.
Monday, they pulled out a win with a 6 run 10th inning to come back from being down 2-1 to win 7-2. Colin Delome had his own personal road race as he gathered 5Ks. That makes two expensive hats back to back nights for the Valley Cat leading hitters. Sunday Barnes had a golden sombrero and now Delome with the platinum variety. Rienaldo Pestana had two RBI’s. Matthew Cusick had 3 RBI and a triple. Steve Brown had two doubles, two RBI and threw out a runner at home.
Lexington:
The Legends wrapped up their season on Monday with another loss increasing their franchise record number of losses to 81. The final game tally was an 11-2 loss. Greg Buchanan was sent to Salem after the win.
There was an article about Koby in the Lex paper on Monday that had a few interesting tid bits.

it’s my dream to get up there and, hopefully, be as successful … half as successful as my father. That’s a pretty good career.”
Langbahn on his defense
Quote
“He keeps his feet moving now, which is good. When he’s coming in on balls, he keeps his feet moving, going through the ball, which is good. He’s got plenty of arm strength to play that position.”
Bennett on him staying at 3rd

“We’re going to watch him and, hopefully, he continues to make progress,” Bennett said. “Right now, we want him to continue to take ground balls at third. Maybe a year or two from now, if we feel like a position change is needed, we’ll take a look at that. But right now we’re pretty comfortable with where he’s going.”
Salem:
Ryan Reed hit a two run homer in the 8th for a 2-0 win. The batting title was claimed by Billy Hart after both he and Mitch E went 0 for 3 at the plate. Hart’s final average: .305405. Einertson just behind him at .30493. A difference of .00472. Having two of the top hitters in the league almost didn’t help Salem on Sunday as they produced on 2 hits but 5 Salem pitchers combined for a 7 hit shut out.
CC:
The Hooks closed out their season on a losing note, falling 6-4.

“If there was a theme for the season, that’s what happened, and tonight was just the tip of the iceberg toward the season,” Hooks manager Dave Clark said. “We played hard, but it just didn’t happen for us.
“This was probably one of the toughest seasons I’ve had to endure. It seems like we put in more work (as a staff) than we ever did before. Not that we didn’t work before, but it seemed like more work because we were dealing with so many younger player. But just looking at things, you see where they got better. And that’s why we do what we do — to make these kids better.”
Brad James was ineffective getting relieved before he had retired a batter in the 3rd. Brad has struggled with his control since his call up to AA. He walked only 33 in 95 2/3 innings in Salem compared to 20 in 47 innings in CC.
RR:
The Express lost their season finale as well but got some good news. Jackie Moore plans on being back for season 51 in baseball.

“I’m coming back,” said Round Rock’s only skipper in its eight-year existence. “I thought at one time that No. 50 (years in baseball) was my goal. But I talked with my wife and I will be coming back. How can you not come back to Round Rock?”
Moore also gets a late season call up to the bigs. He will be joining the Astros as bench coach for the rest of the season.
Chance Douglas took the loss making him 0-7 in 10 AAA starts.
