Round Rock took a wrong turn in Albuquerque. They came back from a 7-1 hole to tie the game at 7 all but couldn’t pull out the win. The final was a 9-7 loss. Klassen & Ransom both homered in the 4th and Ransom added a two run double in the 5th.
Corpus Christi continued to have their way with the Arkansas Traverlers. Felipe Paulino pitched well and won his 3rd straight start.

Salem swept a double header from Kinston and pulled ahead of Myrtle Beach for a playoff spot. Both are behind Kinston in the standings but Kinston won the first half so second is good enough here.
Sergio Severino got the start that would have been Trinadad’s in Lexington and made the most of it. He gave up 3 hits in 5 2/3 innings allowing only one run in Lexington’s 6-1 victory.

Greeneville lost in Johnson City 7-3. Ebert Rosario’s 24th error of the season led to a 3 run 5th for Johnson City and erased a Greeneville 3-1 lead. Greeneville was ineffective at the plate gathering only 3 hits.
Former Astros prospect Ryan Mitchell is pitching for the CAN/AM league Worcester Tornadoes. He appears to be pitching well. He had this to say about the benefits of rooming with Koby:

“It was fun, he came down to take us shopping,” Mitchell said. “(Greeneville) was a nice, little small town, and I had fun there. I liked playing down south. It was a good time.”
Mitchell and Roger Clemens share the same agent, Randy Hendricks, and Mitchell said it helped being able to pick the brain of a future Hall of Famer.
“I have that mind-set where I think nobody can hit me and while that might not be true, you have to have it,” Mitchell said. “It’s working for me now, and while I’m sure it will get a little out of whack if they ever start hitting me, it’s going well right now.”
