Chad Reineke hits his stride…

Posted on November 10, 2006 by Jacksonian in Bus Ride Archive

or at least is working on it anyway, as he’s spent his time with the Mesa Solar Sox getting better extension on his delivery:

“For as tall as I am, my stride isn’t as long as it could be,” said Reineke. “Something like that is hard to change during the season. If you’re throwing all right, you want to leave it alone. And it’s not a case of ‘If it’s not broke, don’t fix it.’ You can always be a little better and improve. I can add some zip to my fastball this way and create some deception. And it will help my secondary pitches, too. And since I’ve been working on my extension, my fastball has life and I’ve seen more from my slider and my change.”
