Round Rock got two homers each from Val Majewski and Ray Sadler in their 16-1 shellacking of Fresno.

Posted on July 24, 2008 by Duman in From the Bus Stop

Things have been busy down on the farm and I am behind a day so let’s play some catch up.

Round Rock has had a rough couple of days dealing with the Fresno Grizzles. Tuesday, they gave up 6 unearned runs in a 10-3 loss. Last night, they saw Chance Douglas make his first start since May. He pitched 3 shut out innings but that was about the only highlight as RR lost 5-1. J R Towles went 0-4 with 2 Ks in his return to the Express.Read More

Lexington won its season best 4th game in a row last night. The win gave Luis Pardo his first professional win. He had been 0-13 over two seasons coming into the game.

Greeneville Goes Back to Back in 9th, Salem & CC Shut Out, Stubby Stoked About Olympics

Posted on July 16, 2008 by Duman in From the Bus Stop

Only two of the Astros farm teams lost last night. Okay, only three were in action but it sounded better than only one won.

Greeneville bounced back from a 7 – 5 deficit in the 9th with a a three run comeback. Richardo Bonfonte hit a one out double and then with two outs he stole third. It was an unnecessary steal as 5’5″ Jose Altuve took the next pitch out of the park. With the game tied, Frank Almonte took the next pitch deep for the lead and his 3rd home run of the season. Nathaniel Pettus closed out the 9th for the save.Read More
