That depends on if/when/where RC signs

This is my projection- (from my head

Roy O- 14 million
Woody- 6 million
Jenning- 6 million
pick 2- 1 million- combined

Tot- 27 million starting rotation

Bullpen

Lidge- 4 million
Qualls & Wheeler- 1 million
4 combined others- 2 million

7 Million- Bullpen

34 million- pitchers

Lineup

Berkman- 15 million
Bidge- 5 million
everett- 3 million
lamb & Ensberg- 7 million
Lee- 15 million
Burke- 1 million
Lane/Scott- 1 million total
Ausmus- 5 million

52 Million starters/platooners

Bench

OP- 2 million
Filler- 2 million

4 million

I've got it at about 90 million- with ballpark guesses. I have no idea about deferred numbers.  I averaged numbers for guys like Lee, berkman, Oswalt etc.  They probably start out a little lower and then get higher from there.

Obviously adding Huff instead of a roster filler type would jack us up another 6 or 7 million.

While your individual numbers are off, the overall total is right around $91 Mil, so from that area, you are pretty close on.

I think that is right where Drayton would want it, giving room to expand it a the trade deadline or Clemens addition.

ETA: BTW, There is about $15 Mil comming off the books after 07 as well, with Biggio, Ausmus and Bagwell's buy out.  So there is future flexibility to expand, Jenning extension or FA/trade add.

Of course the Stros would only add Huff in place of Ensberg (IMO of course) so the add might only be half of what you stated or slightly more....the difference b/w the two salaries.

Right, but remember also that guys like Everett, Lidge, Qualls, Wheeler and Burke will be due raises as well.  Ensberg and Lamb too should they be around.
