been following the Good Guys since '62...
« on: September 25, 2006, 11:05:09 am »
i have never seen a more thrilling series than the one just concluded. all 4 games on a DVD would be one helluva present.

hint, Mark.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

I'm trying to figure out how to get them out of my Tivo and onto a DVD, as we speak.

Do you have the express written consent of the Houston Astros and Major League Baseball to use pictures, descriptions, or accounts?
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Another subtle hint. You missed a great live game Saturday.

Too bad you can't buy THAT on eBay.  I wonder how often MLB actually provides express written consent.
"Ground ball right side, they're not gonna be able to turn two OR ARE THEY, THROW, IS IN TIME!!! WHAT AN UNBELIEVABLE TURN BY BRUNTLETT AND EVERETT, AND THEY CUT DOWN MABRY TO END THE GAME, AND THE ASTROS LEAD THIS NATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES THREE GAMES TO ONE!!!!!"

Every year, dozens of entities pay for the express written consent of MLB.

Absolutely. If this last week doesn't break just the right way, then at least those last four games at home were like a quasi-playoff series. A nice high-stakes, entertaining and satisfying sweep of the mf'ing jakes.

Couldn't agree more. I kept telling everyone who would listen at our Iowa State tailgate that the Thursday and Friday games were the best baseball I'd seen all season, and then the Astros almost find a way to top themselves.

If nothing else they're showing that they have a huge set of balls.

I LOVE this club.

I didn't realize your birthday is tomorrow.  Happy Birthday!

My mom and dad share a birthday.  They turn 50 on the 28th of this month.  My girlfriend's birthday is the 27th.

Dangit, my birthday's in a week I want one!

Actually though if someone can figure out a way to get them on DVD let me know what they would want in trade (I'm broke, I'm reduced to the barter system) for a copy.

Mark is busy, it takes awhile to haul the massive amount of cnadles needed for the cake.
