Can we now agree that it's too early to label Buccholz "The Stud"?

you'll have to see if the expert who labelled him that concurs. i think he is a guy with tremendous potential. it is no disgrace to go back after the first time up. he did some very good things.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

I agree but the guy's got a ton of potential and I believe he's making progress.

He's been injury free this year.

He ranks 10th in the National League in .BA against at .248.

His change-up is developing into a good pitch (just wish he had more confidence in it).

He's homerun prone as he's tied for second in the NL with 21 HRs allowed. He's a flyball pitcher that needs to be more consistent with his delivery and focus.

Taylor has the tools to succeed at the Major League Level.

I'm very happy to see Sampson get called up vs. Hirsh.  I don't know whether it's for relief or the 5th spot in the rotation (maybe Albers), but it doesn't matter to me.  He's already had success at this level and that means alot no matter how small the sample size.  Plus...Hirsh having a tender shoulder...I'd hate for him to get called up and then push to hard, possibly keep quiet about an injury.

Hirsch pitched 7 innings Thursday. his shoulder is not tender.

Did we ever agree otherwise?
