Buckholtz for Hirsch.

That gives a chance to improve the team without trading away the #1 pitching prospect.

I'd like to second this idea.

Buchholz needs to go figure out how actually USE his "good stuff" in Round Rock for awhile.  Tonight was his 6th start this year of 6 ER or more.

Albers, too, made a nice case for himself tonight.

That said, assuming he's healthy I have no problem with bringing Hirsch and his 40+ consecutive shutout innings to Houston.  So long, Taylor.

No more.  Hirsh gave up 1 earned in the 6th tonight to end the streak.

speculation in RR that this may happen.

do not give up on TB. he can pitch in the bigs.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

I haven't given up on TB at all, but with every start being critical the rest of the way, I think a change as to be made in the present.

I know he has the talent as evidenced by the handful of brilliant games he's pitched. Man,  he's inconsistent though.

At one point do young pitchers fold like month old broccoli?  We've seen the answer in this town with young QB's in the nfl...4 years.

Does young TB begin to look at his stats and maybe read the Pinwheel and listen to that jackleg's dumb ass radio clones who state the manager's an idiot for going with him and think, "Maybe I should sell shoes with Pinwheel at Penney's"?

Some are into stats; others into the subjective.  I'm into the fantasy, which brings in a little of both.
"(512) ybbodeus looks just as creepy in HD as in person."   That is a problem, and we are working on it.

Two wins, a no decission, a win followed by 3 straight losses. Inconsistency is to be expected from a rookie pitcher, it's just that he's going about it in wierd way and the bad games are coming at the worst time.  Maybe it's time to give him a breather at Round Rock and call up Hirsh or Sampson.  Nice Lima zinger, but not really on target.  Lima could NOT pitch in Minute Maid, ever.

Buchholz has now started 8 games at home against NL opponents and has an ERA of 6.58.  I don't even think Lima's ERA at MM was that bad.

Look, I think Buchholz has good stuff and lots of promise, I'm just saying...let him go figure out whatever it is that he clearly, CLEARLY doesn't have right now, in RR.

Or trade him to the AL, which he owns.

Well, then why is he still starting for the Astros?  (I'm asking honestly).

By the way, I meant to add this to my last post for reference...his road ERA against NL opponents is 8.23.  "Minute Maid" isn't his problem.

3-0, 1.91 against the AL.

Proof that he CAN play in the bigs.
