I have gone to ball parks all across the nation and I was disgusted last night. In the 3+ years I've had season tickets people have rarely bashed opposing players and it's normally only friendly poking and stuff but yesterday they had security lined all around my section last night, 105. First time they've had it like that other then the playoffs. What pissed me off was that they were threatening to throw people out when not one harsh thing was said to bonds. People were heckling him but it was soft, not a single bad word was said.Their was 2 guys behind me who were continually bitching to the security that people were being "vain". I've been up in the northeast and gone to games in Wrigley and F bombs are flying out everywhere. If people are going to cry and stuff then they should keep there ass at home.

Not sure what you are saying.  Are you upset that there was extra security?  Are you upset that the security threatened to remove people who were being obscene/beligerent(sp?)?
You see pal, that's who I am, and you're nothing. Nice guy, I don't give a shit. Good father, fuck you. Go home and play with your kids. You wanna work here, close. You think this is abuse? You think this is abuse, you cocksucker? You can't take this, how can you take the abuse you get on a sit?

Having extra security doesn't bother me at all, it's them saying there going to throw people out when everyone was being very tame as far as what they were saying. For example: Some guy was saying, " Barry- What size hat you wear?, 10 1/2!!!" & He was threatened to be thrown out if he kept it up and I was like you have got to be kidding me. That is incredibly soft and mild. I can only imagine what he heard in Philly and what he will hear in other north east stadiums throughout the course of the year.

i'm not sure why fans think they should heckle ball players.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.

whats wrong with them being proactive?  I'd rather them err on that side that on the other.

Then again, the atmosphere at MMPUS is so shitty I can barely stand going to the games as is.

I'm not much for taunting or heckling, but the nits that don't know what the word "vain" means should've been ejected on general principles.

Sorry.  Let me try that again.  The atmosphere at MMPUS sucks so much ass I'd just about rather listen to Milo do play by play to Never Say Never to Rocco Sifredi than attend a game.

Sounds like security is itching to throw somebody out just so they have something to do.  Contrast that with Yankee Stadium when the Yanks are playing the Red Sox (I was there last week).  The things that come out of those northerners mouths are astounding.  How about an entire section cheering "Fenway Faggots" in unison?  Security there is constantly busy and does not have the time and inclination to throw people out for mere words.
