Astros Show Clemens the Money

According to ESPN, astros offer Clemens a pro-rated amount of his 18M salary from last year.

Assuming he makes 24 starts @ $12M, that's half a million per start, and using 120 pitches as a guideline, makes over $4,000  per pitch.

Not a bad way to make a living.

any rumors or ideas if the astros allowing him to sit at home when not needed has any advantage this year. in figuring out the salary just be sure to add in the trips he does not have to make and the time he can spend at home

The Hype has begun.  Now, at last, ESPN will cover the Astros, beyond having a running tally of how many times Special K strikes out.

Yes, read where Drayton was quoted as saying that he figured we'd be the only team offering such special considerations.  Can't remember where I read it....think it was the Chronicle.
