EZ Chicken Marsala

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
1 stick butter
1 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 cup milk
3/4 cup marsala wine
1 cup sliced mushrooms

In large saute or fry pan, melt butter. While butter is melting, combine flour, salt and pepper in small bowl. Dip each piece of chicken in milk; shake off excess. Dredge chicken in flour mixture and add to fry pan. (I like to cut chicken breasts in half before coating.)

Saute chicken in butter over medium to medium-high heat until browned and cooked through, turning often. Add more butter as needed. (Be careful turning chicken so as not to break off any of the flour coating.)

Remove chicken from pan and place on platter. Keep chicken warm while making the sauce.

Turn heat to medium high and add the mushrooms; saute until cooked. With mushrooms still in the pan, deglaze with the wine, stirring to get all of the brown bits off the bottom of the pan. Turn heat to medium low and continue to cook sauce, stirring frequently, until sauce has thickened slightly.

(Note: Sauce should be tasted frequently, and more wine or butter can be added as necessary. If sauce does not thicken properly, add a little bit of flour and continue to stir.)

When sauce is ready, add chicken back to the pan and turn to coat.

Remove chicken to serving platter and top with remaining sauce. Decorate with parsley sprigs.

How to Grow Vegetables and Herbs for Your Rabbit

While we're all familiar with bunnies loving to nibble on carrots, they also enjoy a wide variety of other vegetables and herbs. These snacks not only taste good, but also add valuable nutrients to their daily diet. Here's how to start a garden of your own.

  Steps:
1.   Buy good potting soil, long flowerpots and drainer trays at a local nursery.

2.   Buy seeds for your rabbit's favorite vegetables and herbs. Try romaine lettuce, radishes, escarole or endive, carrots, basil, mint, oregano and broccoli for starters.

3.   Set the pots on a table out of your rabbit's reach.

4.   Fill the pots with soil and press it down firmly.

5.   Plant the seeds according to the package directions, but don't worry too much about spacing. Plants grown in pots can be placed closer together than called for on the package; they'll just be a bit smaller than plants grown outdoors in the ground.

6.   Water the seeds well and regularly.

7.   Continue to water the plants to reap as many vegetables as possible.

8.   Pick fresh vegetables and some herb leaves daily; remember to rinse them well before feeding them to your rabbit. Feed only three or four oregano and basil leaves, as they're more likely than other herbs to cause diarrhea.

  Tips:
A healthful daily diet for a 5-lb. rabbit consists of 1/4 c. timothy pellets, 1 c. loosely packed fresh vegetables, unlimited timothy hay and unlimited fresh, cool water. If your rabbit is larger or smaller than 5 lbs., you'll need to do some math to figure out how much to feed her.

  Warnings:
Introduce only one or two leaves of the new vegetable at a time, and feed them along with your rabbit's standard diet. This way you'll know if the new food makes her ill.

Remove the vegetable or herb immediately at the first sign of diarrhea. Wait until your rabbit's stools return to normal before introducing another new food, and avoid giving her the vegetable that made her ill again. If diarrhea persists beyond 8 hours, take your rabbit to the veterinarian immediately for treatment and for subcutaneous fluids to rehydrate her. Diarrhea can be fatal to rabbits.

Ever wonder how to get rid of moles, gophers and other burrowing rodents? Our Mole repellers are the most humane and environmental friendly way of keeping gardens and lawns free of destructive ground rodents. Most underground rodents have poor eyesight, yet nature has given them a very acute sense of hearing and sensitivity to ground vibration. The Vibrasonic technology in our mole control products exploit this sensitivity to produce a penetrating sonic sound that irritates burrowing rodents and will send them scurrying away. We can show you how to get rid of moles, see our products below.

Mole Repeller: Penetrating sonic pulses of 300Hz at 15 second intervals irritate burrowing moles and gophers and send them scurrying away. This unit can be buried flush with your lawn, allowing easy mowing without detracting from your landscape.

Sonic Mole Repeller: Metal body mole repeller stands up to tough outdoor conditions. Dual mode: Unit can last for 10 to 12 months when set for long life. Coverage: 11,250 sq. ft. Safe for pets. Super Sonic Mole chaser emits 300Hz.

Clay Soil Molechaser: The state of the art Hard Soil Mole Repeller is the most advanced Molechaser available, providing up to 1/3 acre of coverage. Moles, gophers and other destructive burrowing rodents can't hide. A patented motor drive generates powerful vibrations that, though harmless to pets and humans, are irritating to rodents.

The 1930's were a time of new ways of thinking and living for many Americans. With their livelihoods destroyed, many began to question the methods and machinations of capitalism. Some believed that other "isms" such as fascism or communism would supersede it. Others believed that the time for "isms" and other metastructures were over. A select few put their faith in the immutable succor provided by a tasty burger.

Cecilia and Graham Davey were two such persons. These well-to-do socialities left their fashionable lives in Connecticut to venture West. Purchasing a parcel of land around San Diego, the brother and sister dubbed it "Burgesia," a utopian socialist colony open to all who could produce and distribute delicious hamburger steaks.

You are currently known as "Rags." Like Cecilia and Graham, you are headed West. Although your reasons are more closely related to debts and minor criminal charges. While hopping the Pacific line, your threadbare hobo nose twitches with delight at the smell...Burgesia is approaching! Your heart jumps as you realize the tales that "Dirty Frank" and "Hi-Hat Harry" told you around the trash can fire were true. You throw your satchel over your shoulder and hop down off the train. You're ready for Burgesia-but is Burgesia ready for you?

"HEY! WHAT??"

Oh nothing, just wondering why it is you're doing that whatever it is you're doing.

"Oh yeah, why?"

I dunno.  It just doesn't seem like something you'd be doing that's all.  You of all people, know what I mean?  Yeah I know it's been bugging you since the day I was born, huh? I asked my friend Anne about it. I said, 'Anne, Anne, Anne, what am I supposed to do, huh?  It's been bugging them since the day that I was born.'  She said 'Do whatever the hell you want to do!  Now is the time where you can do anything, everything you do, it 's still gonna turn out great.  You've got the world at your feet.'"

I never claimed to be different, I only said I was bored.   And she's tired of your uniqueness, it sends her over head first, then the rest of her follows; the breath of life, it never left her hollow.  I can do everything, she said, she says with a smile.  And I can go anywhere tonight, cause I'm with Anne.

Well....i suppose that's why the question was asked.  Maybe some astro fan has input on whether bagwell is coming back.  Maybe someone has heard something...etc.  It aint that tough a question..and there's nothing wrong with asking it.  So why everyone is cluttering this thread with nonsense?  Sorry i dont know if bagwell is coming back... but i'd be interested if someone else has info.. and so would the OP.

How and why would an Astros fan have such information and if they did, why wouldn't it *already* be shared... in blinking lights, with 24 pt Blood letters... in the home page, even?

Quote:

Maybe someone has heard something...etc.

... so you're saying they wouldn't already have shared *THAT* information, so it takes someone asking a question?  Really?

Quote:

It aint that tough a question..and there's nothing wrong with asking it.

I think everyone answered the question quite nicely.  Each and single answer is the same... "How should *I* know?", only in the style and fashion each and everyone chose to answer.

Quote:

So why everyone is cluttering this thread with nonsense?

Actually, *THEY'RE* answering the question.

Quote:

Sorry i dont know if bagwell is coming back...

Neither does anyone else.  No one is a doctor that has examined Baggs, no one is Baggs himself.  So that question is not answerable *UNLESS* you want some sort of lie... or *opinion*.  Is an opinion what is being asked here or fact?  If opinion, then you're going to get a whole new set of answers.  Be prepared though, opinions tend to be more whack than fact.

Quote:

but i'd be interested if someone else has info.. and so would the OP.

Do you know if Bagwell is gonna return?  If so, tell me... please! (see how hard it is to answer that question?).

Here is a non sarcastic answer.  The question was nonsense.  NOBODY knows if Bagwell is coming back.  Smart money would bet on Bagwell not returning.  I think most people know that including the original poster.  Many of the regular posters on this board have a vast amount of baseball knowlege, but that does not make them astros "insiders".  Most, if not all of us get the news the same way as everybody else (internet and other media outlets).  This place is not a rumor board.  It is also not a cuddly, group love, positive affimation kind of place either.  Hang out awhile, learn the culture, and you will gain a tremendous amount of knowlege about the Astros and baseball in general.

Were the original responses to the question rude?  Yes.  I actually thought they were hilarious.  I now know how to make easy rabbit marsala seasoned with the herbs that I grew in my mole-free garden.  Brilliant.

Correct, even though it's not that the question was nonsense, it is that the question cannot be answered at all.  Especially from non-medical types.  If the original poster knowingly asked that question that is unanswerable, he got creative enough answers to make it worth the read.  If he did not knowingly ask the question, he got creative enough answers to make it worth reading as well... and the appropriate answer too "How should I know!?!?"  In a lot of ways, those were kind answers and not cruel at all.  The only people who would be offended are those who take themselves extremely seriously.  At that point, we're talking about a whole different set of problems, most especially in terms of existing in this site.  It's not the place for those who are full of themselves and thin-skinned.  Usually leads to the worse offense of them all... whining!

Opinions.  We all have 'em.  Most of them have been exasperated in terms of what most people *think* (<----see that word, it's the best anyone can do) has been stated over and over again already.  All one has to do is read.

Reading, moreso than posting question and/or whack opinions, is the key to existing in this site.  Even those who post a lot read a whole lot more.  Read more, post less is relative to all that, but it's true for everyone on this site and the place to live comfortably.

All should think about that last part, from Pope to Clark and vice versa, it works to your benefit beautifully.

If you came here to discuss, you'd get a discussion.  Asking unaswerable questions and then waiting for answers is an exercise in futility.  Unless you want, pure, idle, speculation, in which case you're in the wrong place to begin with.

Ahum... you asked the following question:  "out of curiosity...why are you guys such jerks to someone who asked a simple question??"  See those little thingys you put at the end of that sentence... they're called "question marks" and you even used two of them for emphasis.  But that doesn't really matter, you didn't answer the original question either... at least not beyond "I don't know", in which case you did what *everybody* else did!  So why are you complaining?

Some guy asks about what the outlook with bagwell is..

No he didn't, he asked specifically this: "Do you guys think Jeff Bagwell will return after surgery?".  I'll ask you again: what would the answer be to *THAT* question that anyone, I MEAN ANYONE, could answer?  Is "I don't know" appropriate because it's not lying to the poor guy, or should we lie to him?  If we should lie to him in your opinion, what lie would be *nice*, *kind* and *benevolent*?

and he gets a bunch of crap responses included a recipe for chicken and then a bunch of drivel about god knows what...

Why is it crap to answer and unanswerable question with recipes for chicken?  Because someone wants to say "I don't know" in such a fashion, it is crap in your mind?  How bitter must you be to take such silly comments *THAT* seriously?

Your opinion?  Or is this inside information?  If the latter, we have a scoop.  If the former, line forms to the left... after three to four months of many, many, many, many posters saying the same thing you just opined.  Why is it hard to go *read* what has been posted already?  Is "read more, post less" really that hard to understand?

My opinion...you asked..

So why is your opinion fashioned any better than anyone else?  Because you have feelings for the other person or what?

Wait, you've been reading this place for a year and you asked this: out of curiosity...why are you guys such jerks to someone who asked a simple question??  Maybe you just don't understand what you're reading... perhaps?

You mean like posting hillarious chicken recipes?  That was some brilliant "good mood" stuff, eh?

Do you guys think Jeff Bagwell will return after surgery?

No, and I do have professional knowledge of the medical condition in question. To pose the scenario is insensitive at worst, and a cry for attention at best.

Here you go, The Link it's all anyone knows.  And it's at the official Astros website, who'd think of looking there? Now, you're done with this till the next time you have the urge to go "I want information, gimme, gimme, gimme or I'll whine".

I agree. It's preposterous that a rabbit had to die, and we wasted three whole pages of bits and bytes without ever actually explaining that no, Bagwell will not come back after surgery... unless he does, in which case, the answer was yes.

Hey, I've got another question. Is Roger going to sign with the Astros in May? Because I think it would be super-interesting to read three more pages of responses from all the people in here who know the answer, but have been inexplicably holding out on me. I hope they're not jerks about it, because I'm reeeeeeeeeeeally curious.

The thing that I'm really wondering about, which I've wondered about for some time, is whether Moises Alou really fell off that treadmill.  Did anybody actually witness it (other than possibly Mrs. Alou, who hardly has credibility being that she's married to him and would presumably lie for him)?  Did anybody ever do any kind of investigation to determine the truth about the injury.  With Berkman's flag football thing, you had a whole group of God-fearing Christians witness it, but with Alou's there was nobody around.  Thus, being that there were no witnesses, and that it is hard to believe a conditioned professional athlete could hurt himself so severely in such a mundane way, it is not difficult for me to imagine a far more sundry cause for the injury, with the treadmill a conveniently innocuous fabricated excuse.

The unfortunate truth is that the guy got paid $5 million that year for hurting himself in a highly dubious way, and so it is, in my opinion, very necessary that more questions be asked.

(1) How are we supposed to know whether he's coming back? It's a silly question.

(2) This kind of polling isn't the way things are typically discussed on this forum. That's why newcomers are advised to read for awhile before posting, to get the hang of things.

(3) We've had a lot of posts lately by new users trolling to get a reaction out of people here. It's the equivalent of graffiti. Maybe that's not what this guy intended, but it resembles it a lot.

I have lost many nights of sleep wondering about this issue and why it is not discussed more in this forum.  Treadmill, my ass.  I heard he fell off the back of Bluebonnet's motorcycle, though I, admittedly, lack the necessary medical expertise to prove it.  I think he fell off as they rode over the top of the grassy knoll.

Speaking of treadmills, I have reason to believe that Berkman did not in fact get injured in a church flag football game last year, but that he did indeed get shot in the buttocks while on a field mission in Afghanistan. Being a slightly chunky man, he was of course able to 'cushion' the hit slightly better than the average player, and thus, able to return and contribute at the high level that he did. Lance Berkman. Ballplayer. Patriot. I SALUTE YOU SIR.
