i kept sitting there watching the game with addmitted pessimisim. when is the shoe going to fall i thought, but he kept pitching consistently well and getting outs. if this guy gets it together and can pitch like this would be a bBIG boost to the rotation. i found it ironic with da Bidge being hitless last night Wandy got a rbi. as the old saying goes the only thing he didnt do was go sell popcorn in the stands. it was a truly amazing game.

It was very encouraging.

With BB on the DL and Rocket in New Boston, the Astros will need a good year from Wandy.

Yeah, if Backe is out for a considerable amount of time and we don't get Roger back, were going to need Wandy to win 14 games and keep us in many others. He has the ability it all depends on if he's spotting his fastball well as he was last night. I would say he has to get in front of hitters but last night he did great working from behind! Either way he is going to need to pitch well for us this season.
