9 last night-with only one crossing Milo's pay station. I hope that this is not a harbinger of things to come.

Fortunately, the Astros won't have to face Dontrelle Willis for all 162 games.  6 of the 9 LOBs came with him on the mound.

It is not time to panic. I didn't write that. I just noted a problem that we clearly had last season. Hopefully, Preston Wilson will help.

You missed the point of the reply.  Last night the 'stros were facing one of the best pitchers in all of baseball, who also happens to be a lefty.  The fact that they had runners at all is encouraging.

At least wait until this series is over before pronouncing the Astros' offense DOA.

Hey, if I missed something, it won't have been the first or the last time. D-Train is a tough hombre. Your perspective is acknowledged. It is way too premature to declare anything DOA, but I didn't write or even imply that.

Is that some kind of taunt to the comical? Are you begging for a tombstone on the second day of the season?

If you want to over-extend the meaning last night's game into absurdity, look at the fact that they won a 1-0 game. I don't think they won many of those the first half of last season, so it's encouraging for them to do so right out of the gate, but then I'm a glass-half-full kind of guy.

Nope. The statement was what it was: an observation.

Right ... And Lidge is on a pace to shatter the season save record.
