Annual Softball Game - March 11, 12-4pm
« on: January 26, 2006, 12:35:16 pm »
EDIT: Game will be on Saturday, March 11 from 12-4pm at Cleveland Park in Houston.

Which weekend is preferred?
March 4
March 11
March 18

The game will be at Cleveland Park.  It will cost $15 for a registration fee and $35 rental fee (they are no longer charging companies an hourly rate).  So, the more who come out and play, the cheaper the cost per individual.

Any questions?

If it's March 18th, there is a medium chance that I'll actually be in town.  I suppose I'd have to play for the Houston group since it is closer to DC Metro than Austin.  Not sure how I feel about the possibliity of actaully meeting any of you because, in my mind, you are all leggy supermodels.

Any chance of making it the weekend just before Opening Day? That's the only chance I have of making it.

I do not believe there were any dates available after March 18th available.  I'll double check though.

There is a league scheduled for the 25th and on, at least according to Sonia.

Don't go changing to try and please me. I was just wondering if combining to two events was possible.

Currently, any of these dates is good for me.  However, if we go for the first date rather than the later two, I will be one year younger and consequently play much better.

I am planning to make it, with possibly Friend-of- and Son-of-EasTex tagging along again. So far, all dates are good.

I still have some pics of last year posted for those interested.

According to the limited replies, 9 replied to the poll.  Only two were specific, one could not be accommodated, and one unknown.

That is not enough people to play two teams of softball.

Limey are you saying the 4th is the date you prefer?  Are you hoping to get an autographed softball for a birthday present???

And Taras Bulba, is Boxing Day one of the three options listed??

My preference, though no one really cares, is one of the first two weekends.  But I have to check the rodeo schedule, for any potentials onflicts.

Uhhh.. I know for sure that I'm not working on the 18th, but that's also the day of the St. Patrick's Day parade and I oughta be there, considering I'm one of the parade marshals and everything.  Please come out and check it out if you want (nudge nudge wink wink).  The other weekends I'll have to check on.

Well, apart from the 18th (parade) and 19th (recovery from parade) my only free weekend in March is the 25 and 26th.  So, ya'll have fun out there and drink a beer (or two, or three) for me.

I think there may be a need for participants.  If I go, I was thinking of inviting some friends.  The three team thing we did a couple years back sucked.
