Anyone going to brave a viewing of the World Series film?
How can you ask me a question like that?  Do you ask The Beatles that??

Do they have an NLCS DVD? I've seen the '04 ALCS one available, but didn't know if that was due to the Yankees-Red Sox hooey.

I think that was due to the Red Sox.  They put out some mega set with all the '04 ALCS and WS games and marketed it as the Red Sox Edition or some shit.  I think the '05 version is just the standard MLB product they've been doing for years now.  Probably no more than an hour and a half plus some extras.  I'm wondering how balanced it is.

 Click this'n

This guy says there, in fact, will be a complete set of all 4 WS games' broadcasts coming later down the line.

If the  Highlight Film  that's out now has playoff highlights and Burke's HR, then I may pay the $13.99.

Here's a review by the Chronicle's TV guy on the new DVD:  The Link

Looks like it's not worth the time nor money, unless you're a White Sox fan.

Championship DVDs usually don't leave much for the runner-up. The ones for the Bucs and the Lightning were both heavy on the greatness that was the Champs.

Not surprising.  Except for the really really hardcore fans, there isn't going to be much of a market (read, none) on the losing side.  If these show up anywhere in the Houston market, I predict they'll be in the bargain bin by February.  I can't say I'd want to watch much of it again myself...

Hell, I even deleted the Burke game from my DVR the other day...then again, recorded in HD it was taking up nearly 50% of my storage space!

I downloaded it from MLB for 4 bucks. I wanted that one to keep.

Plus you can watch the highlights (Burke's HR, DP vs Cardinals, Biggio's 3-run HR vs Wagner, the extra inning win vs STL, Bagwell's GW hit vs MIL and the clinch moments) for free on astros.com

I bought gas at the Czech Stop in West the other day and relived Pods' homer. They had a big picture of him hitting it over their cash register. I don't need to see it any more. I loved the Astros getting to the World Series but it wasn't any fun there.
