Roughly on Rumor Central 11/29/05
« on: November 29, 2005, 11:58:11 am »
1. The Anaheim, Disney, California, Angels of Los Angelas have upped to offer to Konerko to 5 years/60 million. The Orioles and Suck Sox are involved in the bidding too. Orioles players are up in arms over Baltimore's involvement. It would mean the end of the line for their supplier of accidental steroids.

2. Johnny Damon's agent, forgot his name, is seeking 7 years and 84 million. The Yankmees publicly say they are willing to offer 3. What is his agent's name?

3. The bidding for Kyle Farnsworth has gone up since BJ Ryans deal.??? The Yankmees are in on it. The Yanks have decided that not only do they want to be bludgeoned early in the game, they would like some fireworks in the 7th and 8th innings too.

4. Bud Girls Fantasy has exchanged number with the Astronomicals. While he says that he would like to play in Houston or San Diego he would be willing to play elsewhere if he feels he is a good fit ie if they show him the money. He does say that the gap between his figures and The Grocers are not that wide.

5. The Scrubinos GM Jim Hendry went to Georgia to talk to Rafael Furcal. It is thought The Braves and Scrubs offers are similar and Furcal is just deciding where he is more comfortable ie who will up their offer. Furcal will visit Chicago as soon as he gets parole from his annual off season house arrest.

6. Trevor Hoffman is expected to re-open negotiations with the Pads next week. He is looking for 3 years at about 25 million. The Braves, Injuns, and Bloody Sox are interested.

7. The steM not only have made offers to Ramon Hernandez and Bengie Molina, they are now trying to trade for Toby Hall. If they thought it would take 3 guys to replace Piazza they should have just resigned him. But the steM CF Carlos Beltran's agent, Forgot his name, had it written into Beltran's contract that the steM would get rid of any player that hit on his client in the locker room.

8. Joey Gathright is on the market. 10 teams have interest in the 28 year old CF. In keeping with Tampa's normal trade demands, any team wanting Gathright will give up their best 4 prospects and all of their players first born children.

9. Toronto, fresh off signing Blue Jay Ryan, are after Brian Giles. The have made "significant inroads" according to JP Rjflkajkljflksj, Gm of the Jays.

10. The Dogers now want to talk to Grady Little for their managing job. Terry Collins just can't catch a break. Every time he applies for a manging job, someone else applies too. Hang in there Terry.

Not knocking your paraphrasing but Gathright is 24.  It's wrong on the ESPN website, no mistake on your part (born in 1981).

"Now this is something the other tour guides won't tell you. In this particular cell-block, Machine Gun Kelly had what we call in the prison system, a "bitch". And one night in a jealous rage Kelly took a make-shift knife or "shiv", and cut out the bitch's eyes. And as if this wasn't enough retribution for Kelly, the next day he and four other inmates took turns pissing into the bitch's ocular cavities. This way to the cafeteria!"
