Quote:Quote:Where were you sitting and how many games do you go to that a $1 or $2 increase is getting near pricing you out? 10-15 games/year, and I'm admittedly a field box snob. If I can't sit there, I'd rather watch on TV. Call me whatever you want for that opinion, but that's the way I am. Although I did sit in the bullpen boxes (front row overlooking the pen) once this year for the first time, and I enjoyed those seats a lot more than I thought I would. I don't think those would be as much fun if you weren't on the front row though. And true, I can afford them, it's just the cheapskate in me that feels like darn near $40 for a ticket is too expensive. Yes, a $2 increase isn't much, but those same seats were (if I recall correctly) <$20 only 4-5 years ago.
Quote:Maybe being a cheapskate and being a field box snob are incompatible. So it's not the Astros pricing you out, it's trying to be two things that may not go together.

Even at 10-15 games a year, that's costing you, what, $20 or $30 more? Hell, cut out one game and you've more than made up the difference.I like to sit in different places during the year, just to get a different perspective. The only really bad seats are the obstructed view rows at the top of the view deck. The terrace deck between the bases and the bullpen boxes are probably the best deal for the price.

Quote:I didn't mean to cause such a commotion with my statement - I just really meant to show everybody that the Astros had released the new ticket prices.
