Rockies interested in Ausmus?

Everything I've read has said Ausmus is interested in either Houston or San Diego. Has anyone heard any differently?  Ringolsby doesn't actually say Ausmus would be interested, but he sort of implies it.

Ringolsby "The expectation is he will return to Houston, but if the Astros don't re-sign pitcher Roger Clemens, that could change, and the Rockies would be among the most active suitors for Ausmus."

last thing Ausmus has said. "I've made it pretty clear that there's only two cities that are far and above any other cities I'd want to play. Obviously, this is one of them, and San Diego is the other."

If you like, there's some room for Void induced speculation.  I've never heard Ausmus' signing dependent on Clemens.

From what I remember, it was rather the opposite. Clemens implied that he would be less interested in returning if Ausmus wasn't. But they've each made overtures that neither considers themselves a "package deal."
