... today is, in fact,  St. Crispin's Day.
60% of the time... it works everytime.

Excellent link; but I am confused as to why it's on a site called American Rhetoric.
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

Old men forget: yet all shall be forgot,
But he'll remember with advantages
What feats he did that day.
Then shall our names,
Familiar in their mouths as household words,
Oswalt the king,
Bagwell and Biggio,
Berkman and Ausmus,
Taveras and Lidge,
Be in their flowing cups freshly remember'd.

This story shall the good man teach his son;
And Crispin Crispian shall ne'er go by,
From this day to the ending of the world,
But we in it shall be remember'd;

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers;
For he to-day that sheds his blood with me
Shall be my brother; be he ne'er so vile,
This day shall gentle his condition:
And gentlemen in New York now a-bed
Shall think themselves accursed they were not here,
And hold their manhoods cheap whiles any speaks
That fought with us upon Saint Crispin's day.
blah, blah, blah . . .

Good question.  In college I had a course on European literature in which we read Flannery O'Connor.

Now, if only the Astros were playing the French, this would work.
It's my estimation that every man ever got a statue made of 'em was one kinda sombitch or another.

They add O'Connor just in case you don't get depressed enough to kill yourself.

Cause if they didnt steal stuff from other countries it would have a nice border around the Gettysburg Address.  That and some mis-tranlations by Kennedy.  But, for today, this is more appropriate,

"?Gainst knaves and thieves men shut the gate,
For the rain it raineth every day."
