CF seating
« on: October 25, 2005, 12:45:09 pm »
Beginning with the All-Star Game last year and again with the NLCS this year, I've noticed whenever there is a big game, no one is allowed to sit in the last two sections of the mezzanine in center field.  I know they do it for the hitters' background, but then why sell those seats at all during the regular season?  There's times in the regular season when games are sold out and those sections are mostly full.

I know that they aren't great seats, but its still a few hundred more people that could get into the park though.

I think there are people there, but they're writers.  That's where they're putting all the extra media.  The reason it doesn't look like there's anybody there is because they give 'em extra room for their laptops.

They all have desks out there as well. I suspect it will be a bit more filled tonight than during the LCS games.

...and their egos, and their bellies.
Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak; courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen.

I always figured it was so empty because the buffet was in the media room behind home plate.
