Comes with the territory of being in the World Series.  Put some dirt on it and climb back into the ring for rounds 3, 4 and 5.

I thought we had gotten Podsednik out of our hair in the Carlos Lee trade.

he's like a better eckstein. such a scrappy player...but has enough pop for situations such as this. i wish we had a guy like that. everett and willy t are the closest, but they don't intimidate anyone at the plate.

I can understand why people outside of Houston don't like Biggio...almost

scrappy players piss people off.

Wow, Arky, after your uncharacteristic GZ posting, to go with the dirt-on-it post is a pleasant read.
It's my estimation that every man ever got a statue made of 'em was one kinda sombitch or another.

Goal was to split the series in shy-town.  Damn.  Got to take 'er back to the juice box now and make something happen.  One game at a time.  I don't know about you all, but our bats/offense has GOT to come alive.  Morgana's poke tonight was a good sign as he was due, but looks like ol' Craig is back to his previous post season ways of chasing crap and not working the count and Jason Lane looked a little too aggresive this evening.  We're not dead yet, just have to get off the mat...

Yeah, splitting the series was a good goal, but didn't happen. The bats/offense scored 6 runs tonight. I'll take that EVERY night. As for the rest, the Sox play good ball. The pitching failed for the Astros. They got a couple of tough, but not game deciding calls. Lane looks like that every game.

Look, I'll take the offense and hope the weather was getting to the pitching a little. Let's not forget how winning the first two would have been the easy road for this come from behind team.

Yeah, it's true the pitching failed.  One night it's the hitting in crucial situations, another it's pitching when it counts.   You're right, to get 6 runs is clutch. I think the weather was a little rough on the boys.  Nothing like crap weather for baseball in shy-town in oct.  Let's see what the Orange Fire can do in Houston.  I still like our chances.

With the weather as shitty as it was, I'm sure it was hard as hell to pitch out there.  The team with the last at bat was going to have an advantage in this one.  Tough break, but let's go reel off some wins at Minute Maid.

Last night was a great game.  It crushed me to have the good guys come out on the losing side, but that was the way baseball in late october was meant to be.

imo, the only serious concern is the status of our bullpen, but I think they are a resilient bunch who will be nails at mmpus....when they pitch on wed....roy is going 9 on tues
