not at all definite that he will. Pat Gillick, also an ex-Astro, is a serious candidate.

Wow... I thought Gillick bombed with the Mariners... he's getting another shot that quick?
I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

Gillick did not bomb with the Mariners, he was handcuffed by poor front-office decision making.
