Surprisingly, I think ESPN's post-game coverage tonight has been generally great.  Solid in quantity of coverage and attention to history.  Their predictions are fundamentally stupid, no matter who they would have picked (ie, trying to break the freaking series down by "lineup", "bullpen", "manager", etc.)

To be fair, Reynolds chose Houston's bullpen but who cares?  Kruk has no objectivity to the game, Gammons is a moron, Ravich is a commentator and Reynolds is Reynolds.

I can't wait.  I haven't seen much of the Sox but they look like a really damn good matchup.  I hope this Series is gonna become a classic.

Gammons just said that the white sox hit homeruns and those are tough to come by for the astros.  Could someone look at the stats so far, I'd be willing to bet we've hit more homeruns than them.  Off the top of my head Berkman, Lane, and Burke all have 2.

And fuck steve phillips too.  He just picked chicago as well.

Speaking of Rotation, do ya'll really think Garner will start Clemens for game 1?  Pettitte would be on 5 days rest if he pitched game 1.  Clemens could pitch game 2 on 8 days rest, which may be good for his hammy.  Then Roy in game 3 on 6 days rest.

I'll never forget Kruk saying the Astros were done when they were 15-30.  He did apologize last night but that just goes to show you what little he actually knows.  Ryne Sandberg is another one, picked the Braves to beat the Stros and Cardinals.  Hope he enjoys eating crow.

Let's see how many complete games these guys throw in a row playing in Houston, without the DH.  Never would have happened playing baseball the way it was meant to be played in the NL.  I can't wait for this series, in a great deal because there will be great pitching.

That's the first thing I thought about last night after the win.  First two games with Clemens/Pettitte in Comiskey with a DH, which is good for the Astros because they're the two weakest hitting pitchers on the starting staff (IMO), then Oswalt/Backe in MMPUS and they can both really handle a bat.
