The worst thing about last night...
« on: October 18, 2005, 03:27:29 pm »
is the watercooler crap I get to hear today from every Johnny-come-lately Stros fan and the people that watch two innings of baseball and just happened to catch Pujols' blast during commerical breaks for whatever sitcom they usually watch at that time on NBC.

"That's all on Brad Lidge."

"How many times is this going to happen to Houston?"

"Bagwell and Biggio are cursed."

blah blah blah

These people hear a couple of catch-phrases from the talking heads or read a headline in the local paper and they squawk like a parrot all day, thinking they're engaging in meaningful baseball discussion.

At least it's tolerable when Houston wins.

The worst thing about last night is that the Astros lost.

The best thing is that the Astros have Roy and then Roger to win one game.

Go Astros.

You think that's bad? I live in St. Louis, so I'm getting my share of crap today. That includes an email picture of Pujols's HR as a Mastercard parody, with the caption "watching a REAL homerun: Priceless."

Another guy told me he was glad the series was going back to Busch because he was pissed that "3 of the 4 games were going to be decided by that piece of shit ballpark".

The first people I cross paths with this morning was a pair of collegues meeting up in the elvator from the parking lot.

"Did you watch the game?" she says to him.

"Man, those guys always find a way to lose," he replies.

"They always choke." she affirmed.

It was too much to bear, I pushed her to the ground, ripped her laptop bag off her shoulder and bashed the guy's face in with it so hard that it crushed his nose and broke an eye socket.

In my head.

I gave my love a cherry...

Do the Jakes fans realize their new ballpark isn't a cavernous homerun eating monster?

And why do they exist?  Fuck the Jakes.

i snap back at those idiots, especially the one who say "choke."

the worst thing was that i had to drive back home in the wee hours of the morning.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.
