 Bill Doran to be the bench coach for the Royals.  He used to be one of my favorite players.  I wish we could have seen more of Billy Doran and Dickie Thon tandem.  It would have been a thing of beauty.

Good o'le BillyD.  He and George Brett were my favorite players in the 80's...before Bidge came along.  He'd been managing or coaching for the Reds prior to that right?

He's been the first base and infield coach for the Royals since Pena got fired.

Doran cracked a bat during batting practice before Game 6, gave it to my brother and autographed my brother's hat as well. He was already our family's favorite, but that certainly clinched it.
