Rough game tonight......
« on: October 07, 2005, 12:23:14 am »
Tho he won't admit it I think the hammy was bothering Roger tonight. Too damp and cold in Atlanta not to. We'll get em Saturday. MMPUS will be rocking.

I am pretty confident going into game 3. Last time I saw Jorge Sosa pitch, he threw very hard but not much else.

If we lose that one, I'll start worrying.

It could be trouble if we lose that one.

Yeah, and it's your damn fault.

What were you thinking leaving Atlanta after propelling us to a game 1 win?  That was incredibly selfish of you.

However, being the forgiving guy I am, I would be willing to contribute to the "JCIII to G5" fund to get you back to Atlanta if the series goes the distance... which I have a nagging suspicion it will.

Well I went to both games and it didn't seem to matter.  Last night was brutal.  Had to put up with quite a few hecklers, but that comes with the territory.  It didn't hurt as bad as usual, knowing we already had one game in our pocket.  I don't currently have tickets to game 5, but will buy them and be there if it comes to that.

he won't admit it I think the Ump was bothering Roger last night.

We got a couple close calls in the field to go our way, but the strike zone calls favored Smoltz about 10-1 over the "calls" that Roger got.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

My seats are on the first base line, so that's hard to see.  All I can do is watch the catcher and where he sets up - catches the ball.  That's interesting though...I was wondering if he was just a little off on his control or just being ultra careful.  I remember thinking that a lot of pitches had to of been close.  Oh well, no reason to bitch...we had our chances early and didn't capitalize.  I wanted to puke when I saw the scoreboard and read that we had out him them either 4 or 5 to 2...but were losing 3-1.

we had our chances that is for sure.   The Braves got the 2 out hits (3 run homer, 2 run double, Jones 1 run single, Francrud 1 run single) and we didnt (AE left the bases loaded in the first, Biggio in the 7th)....

AE's at bat in the 1st with two outs and the bases loaded, was the epitome of getting owned.

Yeah, I think I remember.  He was looking slider early and got outside fastball (strike looking), outside fastball (strike looking) and then junk (strike swinging - split?).
