That's why you don't pitch around Altuve as long as Springer is still at 1B.   Anything can happen, bloop, groundball through the legs...but if Springer is already on 2B, you put Altuve on and pitch to Marisnick.

Cole, seated to his manager’s left for most of the game, lobbied to pitch but was rebuffed because of the potential Game 7.

“He wasn’t going to let me,” Cole said. “I asked him twice during the game.”

Amid the postgame champagne celebration, Hinch joked with Rondón and Abreu that they just avoided throwing the most pitches they’ve ever thrown in their lives.
