Beckham sent a cement mixer into orbit.

2-0 Mariners with Astros batting in the 2nd.

Brantley and Yuli walk,  Chirinos Ks, then Brantley scores on a smash off the 2B's glove by Josh.

Jake clears the bases with a double.

3-2 good guys.

Run across on a 5-3 FC.  Runner advances to 3rd when Straw is slow getting there.

Reddick's ball on his first AB was ruled an error, that last one was a hit by default.

Doesn't exactly even out since there's no rbi.

No excuse from Gordon. Geez, youre the second baseman, you should know to cover 2B with a runner on 1B and a ground ball to SS.

I'd rule that one an error too. Should have been an out with ordinary effort

That replay looked like he had a shot to me too, but I'm guessing he was running thru it in his head before the pitch and knowing Gordon was the runner he was going to first on any ball that wasn't sharply hit.

Anyone else want to join me in a class action lawsuit for the ear cancer I'm going to sue Fox for?

Also, a friend of mine asked me earlier today, "hey, guess how the Yankees game ended?!" I knew it was 6-6 after one, so my first guess was 35-34. After he said "more realistic than that" I guessed 17-12. I was off by one.

Sure would be nice if the starting pitching would stop sucking ass more than one game at a time.

THAT was the problem. He didn't touch first base because he simply couldn't reach it. And he couldn't reach it because he had shortened his stride in the middle of the run when he looked at Seager making the play.

There have been SO MANY pitches that have caught the plate entirely that have been called balls this year. Umpiring has been extra trash this season.

Yes, you would not be a good manager.  If you had beaten the shit out of Yuli with a bat, he wouldn't have won it.

That's why I'm sitting here drinking beer watching the game.

What's up Gurriel?  Discomfort?

Clearly limping. My guess is he pulled something on that lunge for not-quite-first.

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing AstroTurf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas Eve and I believe in long, slow, deep, torture of Bud Selig.

I'm hoping it's just a jammed ankle rather than a pull.

I wonder when the last time a player had walkoff RBI on consecutive nights was?

How about that followed by going on the IL?

MLB Stats on twitter says that Biggio did it 1991 (probably not the IL part, though).

It's clearly a pulled pineapple.

Definitely jammed something coming down hard missing the base. The trainer was attending to him after he returned to the dugout after the review.
Often wrong, but never in doubt.
