It's already the second inning. Slackers

Sox lead 1-0
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

I’m not sure I like what the BBGs are up to when there’s a triple play  and a home run to straight-away center.

I would like Hinch to stop calling the “give up home run” play and the “hit into multiple outs” play.

Moncada strikes out swinging
Abreu crushes a fucking laser line drive home run to dead center field...ball was still rising over Jake's head (he barely had time to turn around, let alone try to chase it) when it about knocked over the batter's eye...measured at 408 mph and 2 10 degree launch angle...
McCann strikes out looking
Alonso...3-0...3-1...3-2...walks
Jimenez strikes out swinging

2-0 Sox

Terrible throw by Sanchez. Any kind of decent throw and Brantley was a dead duck.  Moncada way out of position. Another terrible throw., this time by Garcia leads to a third run.

Bottom 4

Reddick grounds out to the pitcher
Bregman homers to left
Brantley singles to right
Correa dumps an 0-2 pitch into the RF corner; it's bobbled so Pettis goes into windmill mode; Brantley scores,  Correa safe at 3rd
Díaz sac fly to center plates Correa
White plops a ball into shallow center for a single
Kemp 4-3 into the shift

End 4
White Sox 2
Astros 3

Yeah, I"m trying to think of three other CFers in the AL who make that catch. Maybe Kiermaier. Maybe Jackie Martin Jr. Maybe Lorenzo Cain.

ETA: Except that Cain isn't in the AL anymore.

Tilson was sitting dead red.

Monster grand slam.

Hard to get through innings when you have to throw the ball through a fucking donut, AND get four outs an inning.

Jeff Kellog owes me four fucking runs.

If James comes out for the 7th, I see a high probability of him or AJ getting tossed.

That was about as bad a half inning for balls and strikes as I’ve seen in some years.

And I mean bad for any team. I watch a reasonable number of random games. Usually when you see bad umpiring it’s expanding the zone to an unreasonable degree or bizarre inconsistency. It’s usually not an outright refusal to call a strike a strike.
