Let’s get it on...
The rules of distinction were thrown out with the baseball cap.  It does not lend itself to protocol.  It is found today on youth in homes, classrooms, even in fine restaurants.  Regardless of its other consequences, this is a breach against civility.  A civilized man should avoid this mania.

Bregman draws a 1-out walk and moves to 2B on a wild pitch, but Correa and Marwin punch out.

No score after one.

He usually does until he doesn’t. I hope he gets it together soon.

This shitty offense is being no hit by a scrub. I can’t remember such a punchless stretch. If it weren’t for two lucky swings in SF the Astros might have been in second place after tonight.

Everyone is trying to yank a home run. Especially Bregman. It’s why he’s popping everything up.

Gattis, Tucker, Maldonado...that’s three automatic outs. One third of your lineup has no chance.

True. But last two weeks:

Gattis  is hitting .000
Tucker is hitting .000
Maldonado is hitting .130

I think it’s a rule now...every inning the Astros score they have give up runs the following time out.

From Daren Willman:

Kyle Tucker's flyout was hit 103 MPH with a 32 degree launch similar batted balls are home runs 79% of the time

Nolan Arenado's homer was hit 95 MPH at a 26 degree launch angle similar batted balls are home runs 7% of the time.

What's it about?

Not much and also a lot. That’s what makes it great. Mostly sex jokes but they’re well done.

Really Tucker?

You really want to go after a first pitch breaking ball?

Gattis too. Just throw two breaking balls in the dirt...voila.

That’s a line from Archer.  After Archer and Pam have sex:

Archer:  Wow, where did you learn that?
Pam:  You know I grew up on a farm, right?
Archer: I’m really hoping those two aren’t related in any way.

I don't remember those two having sex.  Not surprised though.

Everyone has had sex with everyone on that show.

The Rockies don’t miss hanging sliders. 4-1

The astros do. Never fear, I'll be at the game tomorrow.  Let me know if you see me in the crowd.

Fucking a.

It was insurmountable at 2-1.

4-1 is poor sportsmanship.

Pathetic.

Yes Kevin.   Down 3 in the 8th.

Things got dark last year around this time but I never really panicked (a big lead helped) but this year feels different. I don’t like what I’m seeing from the offense even a little bit.

There is a high probability that the Astros will go the entire month of August without a home win.

Hard to like what you see when they aren’t working counts.  Gattis and Tucker swinging at the first pitch with runners on first and second in the 7th is unacceptable from major league hitters.
Time you enjoy wasting, was not wasted.

Maybe Fuckenfelder can talk more about who’s going to get the second wild card.

Marisnick likely makes that play in center. Not that it’ll matter.

Well they are in line to finish the night without one from July 15-August 14, one full calendar month.

Maybe it takes the women of the board to fix this mess? God, I hope we are good enough to get it done.
