My complaints about Davis have been 100 percent about what a horrendous hitter he's been. His fielding has been adequate aside from that terrible throw home the other day.

I don't know what Gattis is doing with that weird front arm only not-swing on pitches he is taking, but it is cracking me up.

They've really screwed that app up recently. Too much going on. Just list the games and the networks and leave the rest of the stuff off, or at least in another part of the app.

A bit of vaunting making an appearance!

There is only vaunting and the absence of vaunting. There is no such thing as a “a bit of vaunting.” What we are witnessing is simply competent major league hitting for 4 and 1/3rd innings of a game. Your enthusiasm is understandable, however, since we have not witnessed competence approaching this level in nearly three fortnights.

Someone in these pages mentioned last year that Cruz hadn’t done shit against us for years. And that was true. But he’s sure done well so far this year. Thus in the spirit of scapegoating that has so lately dominated OWA, I call on that person to come forward that he be told to eat particular things.

Gattis limping into second?

He always moves that way?

Like a toddler running away from a parent?

Marwin choking up with 2-strikes. Not sure I’ve seen that from him...

...not that it matters all the time.

Jake certainly can't catch up to those high heaters like Gattis...

Peacock’s slider was nasty.

Caety’s fingernails were chipped off Cespedes one at a time.

This woulda made sense had you been watching the Seattle broadcast, by the way, which I just realized I was.

Nice!  I was not expecting 2 out of three coming in to this series.

Nice win! Good pitching and finally some vaunting. On to LA.

I doubt anyone expected to see the Astros ADD to their lead over the Mariners w/o Correa, Altuve, & Springer, never behind after the 6th inning of Game #2 and leading all the way in Game #3.
The bench bats backed up the pitching in the last two games!

PS: Jake came back HOT from Fresno!

Nice to see the guys step up.

It's fun hearing the opposing announcers admit, "This one's TROUBLE!" during this game...

All 3 starting pitchers did well this series and the bullpen did its job admirably.

And the adjustments AJ made in the order yesterday and today paid dividends.

Now rest up then FTD.

And who woke up Keuchel?  He seems pretty darn competent today.

Where have you been? Keuchel's last six starts: 39.2IP, 33H/9ER, 25K:9BB

Right.  4-1, 1.65 ERA in July with a 1.010 WHIP.

Way too dang busy... I have only had time to really read on here and knew something of his good work lately but that was the first time I'd seen him.
