Snell is very deserving and I am incredibly happy for Charlie Morton.  What an amazing accomplishment for him.

They had a great interview with CF Morton on the radio pregame yesterday.   I hate to butcher it with bad memory and paraphrasing. I don't know if they archive that or what but if any of you have to know-how to pull that up you should. He had a very  heartfelt answer to what an incredible thing, it would be to make the all-star team, because he's never really been very close and doesn't know how many other chances he'll get.  So happy for him.

Remember Jesus Alou being called out of the 1st base coaching box to pinch-hit a double vs. the Reds in '79 I think, to win a crucial game, and he patted Morgan on top of the head (ala Benny Hill w/the little bald guy) and Little Joe got pissed.....yeah,that was great.

Yes, there’s an Astros Radio podcast where you can hear all of those interviews.

Mark Berman tweet:  Charlie Morton in 2nd year of a 2-year deal: "We love it here..I can see myself continuing to play with this team if they bring me back..I would be looking for..a team full of good people..That's where I am right now.Envisioning myself somewhere else,it would be a disappointment"

You nailed it.  Was telling my wife about that same interview this evening.  Was really happy hearing he made the ASG today because you could tell how much it meant to him.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

Exactly what I thought he would say. I told Mark some time ago I cannot see Morton signing with another team.

You have a link?  I'm not podcast savvy enough to find it myself, I'm afraid.

Echoes what he said last season, but it was great to hear it again.  As it stands I don't see any reason why the Stros wouldn't want him back, especially with 1 starter almost guaranteed to be gone after the season.

What he said last year was he would retire after 2018 because nothing could be as good as the 2017 Houston Astros. This one is better because he says he wants to come back.
